Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here with friends whilst travelling between Bruny Island and Cradle Mountain. The rooms are lovely and clean. They have a kettle and toaster in the room if you are self catering. Beds were very comfortable. Meals at the pub were also great.

Hotel has great vibe. Seems to be an issue with kitchen, as meal prep was done in bar. Meal was medioca, would have been better if it was warm. Staff friendly, everyone was having fun. Furniture was lovely, big windows. Sadly meal was cold and garlic bread made on sandwich press at bar. For $70 for 2 x meals, it could have been nicer. Chips were cold too

Went to the hotel for dinner, staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Had pork ribs and chicken schnitzel, both portions were massive and very delicious! After dinner indulged in the pokies but sadly did not win. Definitely would recommend and return.

I am unsure if new people have this but today we stopped in for lunch and were made to feel very welcomed. We received our meals quite quickly. The meals are fairly decently priced. Plenty of seating, especially if you don't want to go to the bar.

Disappointing lunch!! Travelling through and thought instead of bakery we would support the pub and have a nice lunch. Well the Chicken parmie and the chicken snitzel where just the processed heart shaped chicken you can buy from deli and deep fried. Not hard to do a proper piece of chicken especially at 20 & 24 dollars with a few chips and stodgy salad. And the gravey for the snitzel came out in a small jug sitting on top of the chicken, really!!! So where had that jug been sitting. If businesses want people to support them they need to make an effort to provide nutritious meals. First and last visit from us.

Appearances can be deceptive. The rooms at the back of this hotel don't look like much from the outside but they are very comfortable. The rooms are a bit "squeezy" but the bathroom is roomy and the shower is hot. The self-contained kitchen is nice but be aware that it is not well equipped. There is a microwave and very basic crockery and cutlery (ask at the pub if you need something else). If you're planning to do any cooking you need to bring some microwave cookware at the very least. The free wifi is very flaky, which is surprising given that the rooms are so close to the hotel itself. We kept seeing better reception at the businesses around the hotel.

Stopped in Campbell Town by chance so I too the chance to have a sneaky beer on a hot day. Great country service from a nice country pub with pleasant bar staff. Would like to have stayed longer but we were en-route to Launceston.

Got a little surprised staying here. From the outside the accommodation looks pretty average but when you step into the room, it is modern and clean. You get a bit of traffic noise, as it is on the major hwy through town.
