We stayed in the 4 bedroom apartment. Now this would not suit anyone who struggles with stairs as there are 2 lots to go up to get to apartment. The apartment was very well set out and quite spacious. Don't be fooled by pic of spa bath as that is not in use, it's just a regular bath.It is straight opposite the railyard and we were expecting a lot of noise but there was none. However all thru the night we could hear water running thru the pipes which I can only assume was from people in the other apartments.

This is a very large, well appointed 2 bedroomed apartment. You really must follow the instructions that are texted (no personal contact) as it it's situated upstairs in what appears to be a derelict building where all the shops are vacant. Across the road are railways and shipyards. Parking as also initially off putting-off street but further up the road. Once we settled in we found that the area is very quiet during the day and the shipyards were not a problem as we slept in the back room. The position was actually very good as the centre of town was within walking distance. After getting over our initial surprise at the look of the place, we quite enjoyed our stay. Probably not for everyone.

I and my travelling companion stayed in apartment 2 recently, the apartment was lovely, done out very modern, and comfortable, however there were some bad points. Firstly we found it was very hard to locate, didn't expect it to be above two old shops, were looking for a block of apartments, the signage was bad. The "off street parking" was a couple or hundred yards away up a drive way in front of a warehouse. Luckily it was a weekend, so no cars parked on the street in front, so we parked there, then still had to negotiate the gate and locked key arrangement to get in, as there is no one in attendants. Once we were in we then had to drag our luggage up two flights of stairs, and as we are both in our late 60s that was not easy. As it was a Saturday night we were kept awake late in the night by people walking past on the street and making lots of noise, we think they were probably coming and going from a night club or hotel. When we finally looked like getting some sleep the noise started across the road from rail cars shunting and various port activities. In short, even though we loved the apartment itself, if I ever went to Tasmania again I would not stay there, too many bad points.

This apartment is directly across the road from railway yards and you can clearly hear trains shunting after 10.30pm at night and then again at 4.15am in the morning. It also has two flights of stairs for access - no lift at all. The actual apartment is ok but no cooling apart from one pedestal fan. It was quite warm when we were there and the prevailing breeze was slight and only available in one bedroom so it was an uncomfortable night. Recommended only for the very fit and very deaf.

Stayed here for two nights in December with our family. We were in the four bedroom apartment which was very spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely stay here again

We stayed in apartment #1 for two nights – on the web it looked like one of the nicer places around Burnie to stay. Check-in was simple – the owner texted us on the morning of arrival with the key safe code and parking details (one off street parking space, meter parking outside the door 9am-6pm, free other times). No problems with parking or getting in.

Overall we were very impressed – the apartment feels a little like a Newtown (Sydney) terrace, mostly renovated, high ceilings, lots of character. The photos on the web site are pretty accurate, and the apartment was cleaned and presented to a very high standard on arrival. Linen was good quality, kids loved having a bedroom each (4 bedrooms: one single, one with two singles, and two with queen beds). Kitchen is new, and there’s an ensuite and a main bathroom with spa.

The little touches, especially in the kitchen, were fantastic – freshly ground coffee for use in the two singe plungers (excellent!), lots of nice tea, sugar in pots, and oils, vinegar, gladwrap etc in the pantry. Bathrooms had plenty of towels, and the front-loading washing machine & dryer worked well. Wifi modem was in the single bedroom, instructions were very clear and it worked wonderfully.

Unlike previous reviewers, we had no problems with street or train noise. Marine Terrace wasn’t busy, the pub around the corner was quiet and the rail shunting yard, though operational during the day, didn’t have much noise at night. The ‘adult shop’ mentioned elsewhere exists below part of the apartment, but it’s more lingerie items and is closing down in any case! There’s also a computer repair shop downstairs. Stairs weren’t too steep. Another guest was in apartment #2 next door, no noise at all from him.

We recommend Fish Frenzy (under the surf club, with the great octopus sculpture wet playspace) as a really nice meal – we had fish and chips there for dinner one day and lunch the next. Good view, and a playground nearby.

We enjoyed staying in apartment 1, and we’ll happily stay there again when next we visit Burnie. Thanks!

Noisy room. Wasn’t told of ship yard over road or roadworks out front. No curtains so light into bedrooms. Bathroom basic. Some lights didn’t work. Overpriced.
Parking across road in joint carpark. Front door opens straight into street. Kitchen facilities fine. Heating by mobile heaters - they all worked.

Apartment 3 opens directly from the street and is in essence a motel room with less privacy. Decor and execution of the design is interesting but I find little to recommend it over other motel rooms Burnie. It is more expensive and unless limited kitchen facilities and a washing machine are required is hard to recommend at the tariffs asked. I have not felt compelled to review any accommodation before but feel that this place is different to the average and people looking for apartment accommodation should avoid this room. I have no idea about the other rooms or apartments which may be great.

Firstly, the apartments themselves are clean, neat, spacious and modern with fairly good wifi...

The street the apartments are on is all but deserted, with closed business everywhere - the one business that was open is the one right under the apartments, its an adult shop. It's as quiet as a ghost town during the day, but it really comes alive at night with the dulcet tones of a freight train to keep you entertained in case you were getting bored sleeping. If trains aren't your thing, when the local night spot lets out you'll be entertained by the witty repartee of passers by aqt maximum volume. Having said that sleep wasn't easy to come by as the beds are only slightly softer than the floor.

This place has to be put in the hit and miss section.
Misses -
Located in a very drab street and above a adult shop!
Although very quiet during the day, the same can't be said about it at night. Stayed on a Saturday night and due to the people walking past and talking, yelling...on their way from and too a night spot I reckon I got 2 to 3 hours sleep at best. Could also hear the night spots doof doof....until 3am yay.
Hit -
Really nice layout, clean, modern... could not fault.
To sum it up it's all about location and this is unfortuately in a poor one.
