Colin and Barbara were the best hosts one could ask for. My friend from Queensland has mobility issues and we booked Cove Cottage as I had taken a student there in the past with a disability. Colin called it Paradise on Earth and it was. We stayed 2 nights and were reluctant to leave. Our hosts recommended a wonderful little restaurant within walking distance up the road "SuNaMi" beautiful food, wine and good company ( named for Sue and her 2 chef daughters Natalie and Michelle). We drove to a little beach another 19k and had a great walk there. At the cottage there was everything a prison could want with grab rails, a ramp at the entrance, easy access to the garden and a tiny beach seat where we sat and watched the boats at sunset, a secret swing and the most delicious shortbread ever made by Colin for our afternoon tea! A really memorable stay.

OMG what a place 2 cottages 1 with a spa & without spa was booked however we did not miss out.
The view was fantastic bed facing the views of the river, you can sit back on the verhanda & enjoy a glass of wine at the breath taking views.
Short walk down to the river through beautiful gardens
Hosts Barbara and Colin were very friendly and infomative with great tips on the local area.
We wished we were able to stay longer I would say that this has been thas far the best and most comfortable cottage we have stayed at through out our visit to Tassie oh by the way the breakfast hamper was to die for.

Our best experience at a B&B in Tasmania!! Attention to detail with all sorts of unexpected extras plus the genuine warm welcome and hospitality of Barbara and Colin set the accommodation and the hosts above the rest. Cove Cottage was spacious, immaculately presented and stocked with quality provisions, which were really appreciated. The river view from the cottage was great, but from the B.B.Q area it was absolutely spectacular. Barbara's enthusiasm for the local area and ideas for touring were welcome. By the time we left we felt more like visitors than paying guests.

Stayed for 2 nights at the Cove cottage. Spotlessly clean and well equiped cottage. Really enjoyed the breaky in the morning (even though we had to cook it ourselves) as it was a full english breakfast - plus eating it on the balcony overlooking the grounds and Tamar river was great.

Barbara and Colin were wonderful hosts and although we stayed at the end of the summer season - the gardens were a real treat to walk through.

Really enjoyed our stay - highly recommend Beauty Point Cottages!

We stayed 5 nights at Cove Cottage, a lovely little apartment overlooking the beautiful river Tamar. The new owners of the cottages, Colin and Barbara, were lovely hosts and made us feel very welcome. The unit was clean and well thought out, furnishings were nice, bed comfortable, and cooking facilities good. Our hosts supplied fresh local produce for a lovely cooked breakfast every morning, which we took on the veranda overlooking the river. We had a quiet relaxing time, exploring the Tamar valley and environs. Two good restaurants are nearby for lunch and evening meals, and there is an excellent fish and chip shop in Beauty Point. Guests can also use the Cottages barbeque facilities in a Gazebo in the gardens, and our hosts were kind enought to invite us to a barbeque on New Years eve. This is perfect for a relaxing break and we would book again if in the area.

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay in Cove Cottage (w/o spa) which is large and stylishly decorated (no florals), an excellent bed and has views of the Tamar River. The bathroom is suitable for anybody in a wheelchair or requires assistance with walking (also a ramp into the cottage) - very thoughtful. Generous breakfast supplies included with room. Hosts Toni & Hank are very friendly and have worked extremely hard in their beautiful & lush gardens. They recommended dinner at the nearby Tamar Cove Motel restaurant which was very delicious.

Beauty Point Cottages is a great base for places of interest including the Tamar Valley wine route (Bay of Fires Winery at Pipers River was lovely), Low Head and Georgetown as well as Sea Horse World, Platypus House and Grubb Shaft Gold Mine Museum at nearby Beaconsfield (well worth the visit).

We stumbled upon this little gem on our recent trip to Tasmania. We only stayed one night in the Cove Cottage but it was wonderful.

The two cottages are reativly new, excellent furnishings and finishings. We stayed in the cottage without the spa but were very impressed with everything. Lovely bathroom (and shower), great view, private and romantic.

The breakfast was delivered to us in a basket which you cook youself in the morning, all cooking untensils provided. It was more than we could eat, eggs, bread, jam, cereal, fruit, yoghurt.

The local restaurant (can't remember the name) they recommended to us for dinner is only 500m walk down the road and was great.

Lovely hosts who gave us a great deal considering we had not booked in advance. I would recommend this place to couples who are looking for a romantic getaway.

An amazing place to stay, Colin and Barb are the perfect hosts. The cottages have beautiful views of the Tamar River, and are very comfortable. Breakfast provisions were the best I’ve seen provided, and the home cooked treats were delicious!
All in all, a fabulous place to stay
