Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Overlooking the Tamar estuary, this B&B gave us essentially a whole luxury flat: bedroom, dining area on the verandah, sitting room, bathroom with jacuzzi in the bath. Our bed looked out onto a richly planted garden & the river. The kind and welcoming owner Colin couldn't do enough for us & gave us plentiful supplies in the fridge to make breakfast – we made lunch as well from these. I wish we could have stayed to enjoy if for longer.

Susie from tasmanianodyssey.com set up this stay for us at Beauty Point Cottages. It has been fantastic. Colin was not home during our stay but we were warmly greeted by Barbara and had several chats with her during our stay. Barbara had great recommendations for places to visit and restaurants!! We also have a B&B and Barbara's service and level of care for her guests is our goal that we would like to provide. There is literally nothing that I could change at Beauty Point Cottages based on our stay. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. I could easily have stayed several more days!! Cooking our breakfast in the gazebo while relaxing and looking out over the Tamar river can't be beat.

The cottages are set in a lovely manicured garden overlooking the Tamar river. The town is quiet although there is plenty to keep you busy for a couple of days sightseeing and exploring. What sets Beauty Point Cottages apart are your hosts Barbara and Colin. They are friendly, helpful and their attention to detail is amazing. The facilities here are first rate and you can't really help but relax and wind down.

Lovely warm welcome and a great cottage with views down to the river. Good range of breakfast provisions from local suppliers and comfortable bed and seating area. Includes a balcony where it was nice to sit out and eat breakfast. I'm just sorry we were only there one night. There's wildlife in the garden at night, birds and a friendly dog.

A very nice 'cottage' with lots of space and a very pleasant outlook. The sad thing is, the weather was utterly dismal, with rain when I arrived and, on the next day, a total deluge almost all day. This was so sad because I couldn't explore the lovely gardens - and Barb and I are both keen gardeners so I would've loved to hear her description of her garden. Neither could I sit on the nice balcony outside my room. Having said that, Barb and Colin were most welcoming and made me feel at home. When I went down to Reception to use the wifi Barb made me tea and stayed for a chat, offering advice about local places. As the next day was total deluge time I was confined to barracks, so I was very glad that I had such a comfortable and spacious room with lots of nice things for

My wife & I both were greeted by Barbra & Colin on arrival, the most friendly people ever & very down to earth. We had everything that we needed & more, a fantastic spot to stay with stunning views. 10 / 10 if we come back to Tassie it's a definite place to stop & stay.

We decided to stay the night I the area after visiting Beaconsfield mine. We googled the area and found Beauty Point Cottages. Barbara answered with the most cheerful voice and said we had a cottage available for the night. Barbara & Colin greeted us, such warm friendly and lovely people. Our room was amazing , and the views were outstanding. We had EVERYTHING you could ask for. We will definitely be back again .

This stay was one of the highlights of our Tassie experience! Colin & Barbara were exceptional hosts who went way above and beyond our expectations. Their passion and knowledge of the Tasmanian area was extremely welcome, and their hospitality was outstanding. Their property was beautiful, spacious, immaculately cleaned and comfortable. They have set the bar beyond high!! We loved every second of our stay at Beauty Point Cottages B&B.

What a beautiful stay, made so easy by Barbara and Colin. Everything one needed, sensational little cottage to stay in and how amazing to wake up in the morning and open the balcony door to a most magnificent view over their immaculate gardens across to the Tamar River. Thanks Barb and Colin. Highly recommended to stay.

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony in the gorgeous gardens at Beauty Point Cottages. Barb and Colin are very warm and welcoming and were very helpful. They have thought of many things to include in the rooms to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Bay cottage is a beautiful cottage and the breakfast hampers are very tasty. Colin's ginger shortbread is the best! I would highly recommend Beauty Point Cottages to anyone.
