The service by the owner is exceptional. I was travelling on my own with a trailer attached. I had rung ahead to say I would be arriving after the office closed (which is at 8.30pm) and had been given my room number to go straight to. I driven into the complex, before remembering I should have parked on the street with my trailer. I was in a bit of a bind, trying to reverse into a spot where I could turn around and go back out. The owner had obviously noticed this and came out to the carpark to offer assistance. He moved his own vehicle which made it easier for me to turn around without reversing. Then, rather than me having to park on the street, he changed the room I could stay in so that I could park across 3 carpark spaces that had no motel guests staying there. This actually put me in an upgraded room from what I had booked, but he still charged the same amount. He did all this in such a kind manner. When I thanked him for his kindness, his reply was "You are my guest. I need to look after you." Such a wonderful service ethic. As well as all this, the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Walcha Motel staff were very welcoming and gave us a small jug of fresh milk for tea. The room was a very reasonable price, we chose it as a rest stop on the way to Tenterfield. We first looked at Tamworth as it was on a more direct route, but as it was a long weekend, nothing was available. What a lucky find, the room was very clean, and in good repair. The air conditioner did a great job in keeping us warm. The town is full of interesting wood carvings and sculpture, and well worth a walk.

Great motel -quiet, spotless, crisp white sheets, soft towels, quality toiletries, tea and coffee. Walking distance to pubs and shops. Helpful owner, better than expected. Great for a stop over when passing through the lovely New England region.

Conveniently within walking distance to a supermarket and just a little further to cafes and pubs. Ample off street parking. Rooms designed so the bathroom etc at the front which makes the rooms quieter from highway noise.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable and an electric blanket made it nice snd warm on the cold night.
Negative points - bad stain on the bed cover, dust on the skirting board and a ‘watch your step’ sticker that was almost the same colour as the tiles. Yes, I couldn’t read it and tripped, jarring my knee rather badly.
Something I’m sure the owner would rectify once he was sware.

I can highly recommend WALCHA MOTEL I arrived around 7pm without a booking and was greeted warmly by the owners Sheetal& Raghar Puri. Both Sheet also and Raghar where such a lovely couple . N9thing I needed was a problem and was attended with minutes . The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was so soft and supportive espiciall after a long 4 hr drive on the Oxlely hwy I had a great night's sleep . We have stayed a couple of times and it is always extremly clean and comfortable, it is an older motel but it adds to the country feel of the town. Highly recommend. It is situated close to the pubs for dinner so you can walk have a few beers and a great meal and wander back.

I had called ahead to book and In Walcha the choice is limited, but I had a warm welcome at reception and the heater had been turned on in my room - a nice welcoming touch. The Motel was standard fare, but the shower was hot, the bed comfortable and the room was quiet. The major problem was that on a Monday night there is a very limited choice for dining, apparently the dining room ata pub up the hill was open, but it was freezing, so I settled for the Indian Takeaway almost next door, probably unwise but it beat a cold walk.

Pleasantly surprised by this lovely motel. Room was clean with lots of room to move. Everything you could possibly need to make your stay hassle free. Very polite, welcoming and accommodating office team - nothing too much trouble. Right in the heart of town - everything is a short walking distance. Great value for quiet comfort

We stay here regularly with our business, and Raghav just cannot do enough to take care of us.
It's very reasonably priced, spotlessly clean and the service is perfect.
For us it's the very best if not only option for accommodation in Walcha.

After an awful day I was grateful for the last room in this motel. It was a family room but was discounted as I was solo. That was very kind as in all likelihood due to the weather and events in the town; that room would probably have gone for full price. Comfy bed, wicked shower, clean and welcoming. Thank you again.
