Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Small park with a mix of powered and unpowered sites, ensuite and non ensuite cabins. A little bit pricey, though not over the top. We were meeting relatives there and researching our family history, so the location being right in town was great. Cabin was older and not the fanciest, though clean and had all the essentials. Bed was soft and springy, a better mattress would have made things more comfortable. Pet friendly, so we may bring our hound next time. The park is very well kept. . The camp kitchen was awesome, our family met up each night and was a great space to share with them and other travelers. Had a fireplace (we had to get our own wood as was a bit early in the season) so we were nice and toasty and the kitchen was fully equipt with plates, cutlery etc and a large fridge for our drinks and leftovers. Table, chairs and a lounge. Free bbq outside covered area of camp kitchen. We found the owners really friendly. I hinted how an indoor mineral spa would be so perfect for the park, given hot weather is short lived and a spa would be utilized far more, especially given the cold winters in Walcha- This would make an awesome addition! Pros- Close to town, pet friendly, well-kept grounds, friendly hosts. Cons- Not the best mattresses, a little bit pricey for what you get. No pool, no spa.-though the owners did say they were looking at getting a pool and seemed to be interested in my indoor mineral spa idea!

Hey of i could give 10 stat's i would. Management were just the best. So friendly and helped select a camping spot suitable for Ute and trailer. Amenities were spotless. Shower had quirky extra tap. Added to the atmosphere of the place. Everything is central to amenities and camp kitchen. Management are very community supportive. Other guests were friendly. Great vibe Will stay again

Due to Covid restrictions we only now returned after 3yrs but it was well worth the wait. Owners Tam & Luke greeted us like long lost friends. The park looks wonderful fresh & bright. As always the amenities were excellent, campers kitchen gets better every visit spotlessly clean. Tam guides her guests into their powered sites making sure they feel at home. Once again we felt safe at this peaceful friendly caravan park, now back home feeling rested. Walcha has a great reliable taxi service so we dined several times at the Aspley Arms hotel (located nearby) where the food & service was fantastic.

We had been recommended to stay at Walcha Caravan Park in a cabin by a staff member at a Tourist Information Office. The cabin was a bit disappointing - basic but adequate but when we went to turn down the bedspread we found black coloured sheets (yes black!) which were marked with what looked like stains and we felt that they had not been properly laundered. I went to the office and the receptionist came along to the cabin and advised that the marks were where massage oil had marked the sheets. We were not happy and ended up putting our bath towels onto the bed and sleeping on them in our clothes (well not sleeping - more tossing and turning!). The sheets should have been replaced regardless. We would not recommend this site and would not stay there again. We had a long drive ahead today and were very tired.

I've stayed there twice. Once with my Wife, and another time alone, on a business trip. The reception is always warm and friendly. The park is spotlessly clean and tidy, from the cabin interiors to the lawns, toilets, camp kitchen and laundromat. Each visit, the cabin I used was scrupulously clean, warm and comfortable. The prices were reasonable, too. The couple who own/run the park put in a huge effort to make the place welcoming. I passed through this past weekend, and found they now have a coffee trailer at the street side of the park. The coffee is great, as are the pies and sausage rolls they sell. The owner told me that in cold and/or wet weather, he will take and deliver orders from/to your car, so you don't have to get out of the comfort of your car! This is typical of the owners' attitude. Luke and Tammy bend over backwards to give customers what they want. It's not far from shops, pubs, cafes/restaurants.

We first stayed here last year 2021 and we now make it a priority to make a booking as soon as we know we are travelling to Walcha. We missed out this November 2022 as they were booked out. However, we still dropped by to say hello and Luke now has a coffee van out the front and he does a great coffee. Luke and Tammy Mills greet you like family and they welcome you with a kind heart. They will both go out of their way to help you. The cabin we stayed in has everything you may need for coffee and tea and fully functioning microwave and fridge. The TV maybe on the small side but we weren't there to watch TV. Laundrette and toilet facilities are spotlessly clean, and the lawns are well manicured.

Unfortunately we had to cancel all our plans for visiting Tamworth, Walcha and Port Macquarie due to the floods in Victoria and NSW. We did continually monitor the web and tv to no avail. Hopefully we will be able to our visit in 2023.

We stayed in one of the cabins recently and to say it was a tired and run down and over priced is an understatement. The cabin we stayed in had the smallest TV Screen I have ever seen (Size of a laptop screen) the glass sliding door was so lose and it was letting in draft as we were watching the curtains move. Shower hadn't been scrubed for ages. the whole cabin needs a pretty good clean . Look else where in Walcha for accommodation

Walcha is 2hrs rom Port Macquarie and about an 1hr to Tamworth, booking in was easy, park is on the smaller side, cabin was very basic, bed was comfortable, shower was hot, but don't expect to have a shower straight away , you have to wait about 30mins, for water to heat up.
