The ensuite was an absolute pleasure - a beautiful bath with luxurious amenities.
Don't worry about being on the main street, every thing is double glazed, it is super quiet.
Highly recommend to all those looking for a little bit of luxury with the country charm!
The management was fantastic and made sure that we had dinner reservations for the Restaurant and even reservations for our pre dinner drinks by the open fire due to Covid regulations. Food at the restaurant was also exceptional. We will definitely be back.
We went downstairs and had a local wine sitting beside the wood burning fire then went into the dining room for a delicious dinner. The staff at the bar and in the dining room were friendly and efficient and our meal was perfect.
Staying here is not cheap but we would class it as value for money and thoroughly enjoyable.
Don't understand how you can book a room out as pet friendly then charge an extra cleaning fee?
When we arrived we were informed it was the room that opened up onto the main street , which is also the major highway to Brisbane!! Hardly suitable to take your dog out during the evening or daytime. We attempted to have a discussion about this, only to be dismissed with a stone-faced couple of people. No acknowledgement of our concerns. When I raised the issue of our 5mth GSD needing to be taken out during then night to relieve himself and it wouldn't be okay to do so on the main street, I was told I could walk him around the block to the park at the back of the hotel, about 750 m!
We need to have the noisy air con all night to have a warm room. We had to go out th efront door an dback into th ehotel to reach reception as the key we were given didn't open the internal door?
Finally ,we were told we had to park in the main street , which meant carrying our items from our car, which was about 25m away into the room, through the door , whilst preventing our dog from running out into the main street. Our car was also keyed whilst parked there at night!!
Wouldn't recommend this !
WE WON"T BE BACK
There are about 8 rooms upstairs and they are all beautifully appointed - everything is new and tasteful.
Downstairs is the bar and dining area - again tasteful but typical country pub with open fire, comfy chairs and heaps of atmosphere.
Tenterfield is a hidden gem - thoroughly recommend a weekend escape.
Tim the owner was a great host.
One of the employees kept redoing her hair at the bar and didn’t wash her hands afterwards ( I found this ver unhygienic).
But one of my family members said the wine was delicious ( she ordered a chardonnay and a shiraz).
Overall, this restaurant was VERY overpriced for what they served. The menu had options but I felt like they tried to be too fancy with it. It’s located at very nice venue.
