Located right next to Best Western which was 'very good as we were able to get room service after a long days drive. The accommodation is very comfortable with a fireplace and split system air conditioning/heating. The food was very good and reasonably priced and their licence enabled us to order wine with our meal. The fire was already alight and the room lovely and warm. They were very helpful and friendly

We only stayed one night, friendly reception and very fastidious concerning hygiene and covid restrictions, always good to see. Comfortable rooms. We elected to dine in, as there was not much open in Tenterfield, the restaurant has a good menu and reasonable prices, nice to see local wines from the Granite Belt featured.

We normally stay in apartments, upmarket, very modern, incredible views etc etc.
For our recent "grab a week off whilst covid is quiet" trip we decided to keep the accommodation simple and spread our money around the towns.
We could not have been more pleasantly surprised, couldn't have asked for better value for money and it this motel was definitely not "simple".
We were close to the main road through town but slept well, our room was spotless, well fitted out and value for money. Staff were absolutely lovely and assisted with recommendations for meals and sights.

This is a highway motel with a restaurant. After a nine hour drive I arrived with a prepaid reservation, just wanted a meal in the restaurant and an early night. At check in I was advised that the restaurant was closed for a wedding. The receptionist was apologetic but said my only option was to walk to a restaurant in town, which she kindly booked. I could have driven, but didn’t want to lose my spot in the carpark, which had more rooms than spaces. Yes, this is a MOTEL. My early night was a non starter because of music and loud guests at the noisy wedding. I eventually fell asleep through exhaustion and earplugs. On checkout I voiced my disappointment and was told it was out of the motel’s control. My response was that there was an obligation to all paying guests, not just those attending the function. She said she would “take my comments onboard.” She didn’t even bother to apologise. My parting words were to tell her to expect an appropriate and honest review. She couldn’t have cared less. Needless to say, I won’t be returning. This place gets one star for the comfortable bed.

We have stayed here a few times and have had a very nice night in the spa suite. The location sits high looking over this beautiful town. Cold nights the restaurant provide a lovely fire and beautiful ambience to enjoy the gorgeous food on the menu. We also enjoyed local red wine. A must !!

Ok, so I can't find an email address for the motel so have to put it here.

We stayed 2 nights.
Our room, the King Deluxe with spa was sooooo good!! I mean really good. 4 stars.
The bed was fantastic, room to swing a horse literally, kitchenette, bath spa, washer + dryer. The best room in the motel. Smick.
The lady in reception on check in was lovely.
Understandably, a continental breakfast was only on offer. Lovely cafes downtown for that. Support the locals!!

BUT....(thus the 2 stars)
We were asked on check in if we wanted house keeping the next day. I mentioned emptying the bins would be good. They mentioned the towels which I was ok with one way or the other. We returned back from tripping around to find old towels not removed, new towels sitting on the desk and the bin which was full, hadn't been changed.

On the first afternoon around 3pm music with the doof doof started. We thought oh, ok, a neighbour has their music up. It didn't finish for a few hours later. On day 2, the music AGAIN start at 3pm and lasted until 7pm. I went to see and discover the conference room was being used as an exercise/dance studio. I went to the lady on reception who didn't really know what was going on and had stuff all concern for my annoyance at having to put up with doof doof. This event was not mentioned at booking or booking in. Whilst we totally get places need to find extra ways to support themselves in these times, we were in a motel to rest not hear doof doof for hours. What took the absolute mark, on Thursday morning at 0550 the doof doof started AGAIN!! FFS...really.

Needless to say we left earlier than expected and were really p.o. at this happening during our stay.

Checked into this motel on a chilly Winter’s afternoon.
Check in was quick and friendly. We requested a room set back from the road and this request was met.
Our room albeit a little dated was very comfortable and quiet. Appreciated the efficient heating which quickly warmed the room. There was a jug for tea making, a toaster for preparing breakfast and a small bar fridge.
The bed and pillows were super comfy and ensured a fabulous sleep. So impressed with the bed I took a photo of the brand! Want the same at home.
The only detraction from our stay was the obvious mould in the bathroom…ceiling above shower, bottom of bathroom door and shower door. This was reported to Reception on checkout.
Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay.

A high quality country motel for the price. I was towards the end of a multi week solo road trip and this was one of the best places I had stayed while travelling the eastern states. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and reasonably well appointed. The onsite restaurant is good and I loved the in room breakfast, though the coffee might have been effected by the town water. Would stay here again if in the area.

We had a room close to the road which was quite noisy however, apparently they do have rooms up the back away from the road, so ask for one of those. The restaurant was good however quite expensive so it pays to look around. Rooms are ready for a renovation.
