We managed (thankfully) to book at Carpe Diem last minute and we are so happy that we did!
It is, as described, luxury accommodation and no expense has been spared ❤️
From the beautifully and tastefully decorated rooms and common areas to the landscaped grounds, you cannot fault Kathryn’s vision.
Breakfast was included in the price and it was divine
I do not hesitate to recommend Carpe Diem to anybody who wants luxury accommodation.
We will certainly be back again soon
Thank you Kathryn 🙏🏻

This is a fabulous place to stay. Kathryn is the perfect host. From the personal meet and greet accompanied by a warm fire lit for our arrival, homemade scones and tea or coffee, to the homemade breakfasts around a country table, and a great comfortable room, everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations. The views are incredible and while it’s close to true town it’s set on a beautiful property to provide a truly rural escape. The guesthouse is immaculate and nothing is too much for Kathryn. Booking us dinner each night and providing ideas for what to do see Kathryn will also arrange specific things for you to do. If you want a picnic basket to take away for the day…done; meat for the bbq…done; extra blanket or ammenities…done. She’ll even arrange yoga and painting classes if you like. Amazing!!!!! We’ll be back and next time for a longer stay.

When you're on your next road trip, give yourself a treat and factor in a stay in Tenterfield which is a federation town set amongst beautiful country. It's only a short drive to Stanthorpe and the wineries region of the Granite belt but the real jewel in the crown is Carpe Diem Guesthouse and Cottages. There you are offered real old fashioned hospitality but with no modern comfort over looked.
From the moment we stepped through the door on arrival Kat treated us with culinary delights in the form of freshly baked scones with jam and cream in a truly cosy setting in front of a fire. Following a very comfortable night spent in our luxurious suite complete with with a claw footed bathtub and fluffy towels, .we were greeted with a sumptuous breakfast of bacon, eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms and if you still had room there were pancakes with maple syrup and a stunning fruit platter. Now we have an excellent reason to plan our trips around this enchanting destination.

Kat met us at the door and straightaway took up to the dining table where we were served afternoon tea of yummy home made scones with cream and local jam. The table has a great view of the surrounding countryside. We were then shown to our rooms where every comfort was catered for. The rooms are all named after famous Australian poets and we were in the Henry Lawson. After a great nights sleep in the very comfy bed we came out to an amazing breakfast of bacon, eggs, mushrooms and home made bread followed by pancakes - won’t have to eat for a week. We found Kat to be very knowledgeable about Tenterfield and we were also supplied maps and brochures for our entertainment. We will definitely be back

The room was beautifully furnished as was the ensuite with claw foot bath.
If you’re looking for a relaxing space to enjoy time away from it all the I definitely recommend Carpe Diem.
The owner is happy to accomodate dietary requirements and her cooked breakfasts with local produce is delicious.

We spent 2 nights at Kathryn's beautiful B &B guesthouse. Kathryn was so warm, caring and welcoming, providing advice and suggestions which we very much appreciated. She even booked dinner for us at the Commercial Hotel which was perfect.
We enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea on our arrival and the home cooked breakfast menu was terrific.
Our room was lovely, the gardens and views amazing and Kathryn lit the wood fire for us so we never felt the cold.
Treat yourself to a luxury stay. You won't regret it.

Excellent, luxurious and a perfect beautiful property. A fantastic location, with peaceful views and close proximity to town and golf course. Overall I had a great experience with Carpe Diem. We golfers stayed for 3 nights in the Guesthouses and Kathryn was the perfect hostess. Communicating wth our hostess was always easy, helpful and prompt. She went over and beyond to make us comfortable. Her welcome tea, coffee & scones and breakfast were well planned, variety, yummy and healthy. We requested Kathryn to cater for a dinner and it was delicious too. The rooms were clean, spacious with a very comfortable bed. The lounge, dining and entertainment areas felt very homely with a beautiful fireplace. Here’s a huge thank you to Kathryn for a true sample of excellent hospitality.

We recently spent sometime wandering around Tenterfield and found a great place to stay on the outskirts of town, Carpe Diem Guesthouse. It has only recently opened. We had a very comfortable suite including a spacious bathroom. I slept like a log in a really comfortable bed. It can get rather chilly on the granite belt even in summer so the electric blankets on the beds were welcome as was the lovely fire burning when we arrived. The food is good too, nice tea with scones when you arrive and a good English breakfast in the morning.

We had a delightful bed and breakfast experience staying at carpe diem guesthouse thanks to our attentive host Kathryn. With scones and a warm fire on arrival and a delicious hot breakfast each morning we felt very spoilt. We loved sitting out on the patio in the afternoon taking in the rural vista. It was also an easy drive to the iconic scenic locations of captain thunderbolt's hideout, bald rock and boonoo boonoo falls. Highly recommend this b&b for a fabulous Tenterfield experience.

We spent 2 nights here, late April 21. It is wonderful. New and fresh, stylish, clean, comfortable and very welcoming. It’s set in quiet countryside with delightful grounds.
Our host Kathryn made us afternoon tea on arrival, and looked after us very well. She is such a friendly person. Kathryn is knowledgeable about the area and made excellent suggestions for dinners and lunches so well worth taking her advice.
The breakfast menu offers several options and everything is delicious. Loved the home made bread!
I highly recommend Carpe Diem. Everything about it exceeded our expectations.
