We visited this amazing place on the long weekend in June. Upon arrival we were greeted by Helga and Rica the most hospitable dog. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. The huge fireplace kept us work all night long. The bed, which is located in an open loft, was very comfortable. When we decided to take walks to explore...

My husband and I came here 10 years ago, and just this last weekend for his birthday though this time stayed at the cute cabin on the lake. Despite it being ridiculously cold we were were kept nice and warm by the generous fire and cooked up some comfort foods with the well equipped kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and...

What a wonderful place this is. A spanish Hacienda set in the Ozzie Bush and managed by Buko and Helga. I especially love the bunkhouse and have stayed there with a group of mates where we had a fabulous time. The wallabies and kangaroos in mornings and evenings, the mist, magpies and the friendly donkey make it a real treasure....

For my Mother's 70th Birthday we booked the guest rooms, lake house, hacienda guest room and bunk house and had a wonderful time. There were 13 of us and had the place practically to ourselves. The ambience of the property is gorgeous - you feel in the middle of nowhere but Stanthorpe is only a half hour drive away. Helga...

As we first arrived we felt like we were approaching the set of a spaghetti western. The compound is so authentic and looks beautiful against a bright blue sky. The attention to detail from roughly hewn granite lintels to intricate carvings on the timber beams gave this place a facinating appearance. The brightly painted walls work so well with the...

I stayed here recently with my partner and parents in law, who were visiting from Germany. The place is really unique and offers a variety of different accommodations, from secluded rustic cabins tastefully decorated apartments/ rooms in the hacienda style main complex. As a guest you are free to wander around the property, where you will see beautiful bush, kangaroos,...

Great place to get away to. Secluded and private. Pets welcome and my dogs loved it. Unfortunately they were very disappointed they couldn't catch a kangaroo. Close to national parks and Stanthorpe's wineries. We stayed in the hut on the lake and it is quite literally on the lake! When we were there the lake was very low. Here's link...

Bald Rock Bush Retreat is a spectacular isolated getaway nestled near Bald Rock NP and Boonoo Boonoo NP. The main house is done in a spectacular Mexican style, while the lake house and large cabin are more rustic. Heaps of kangaroos, 3 ponies and a donkey roam around the estate, and so can you. Just a beautiful little getaway. There...
