Excellent position, cabins and hosts. Great position for getting to know the area, halfway between magical Rylstone and Ganguddy Swamp/Wollemi National Park. Would be brilliant for kids too, though we’re thankfully beyond those years ourselves. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. Just beautiful.
Thank you Elizabeth and Kel for your informative, kind hospitality. We wanted a quiet relaxing weekend away and it ticked all the boxes. My favorite was to sit on the deck, watch the sunset and enjoy the peace and quiet. Only approx 8kms to the quaint town of Rylstone.
We had a wonderful relaxing stay for a long weekend - far from the hustle and bustle of Sydney life. Elizabeth made us feel very welcome on her cattle farm and we did some lovely walks at nearby Dunn's Swamp (very beautiful place in Wollemi National Park with an ordinary name!) and visited Mudgee and several wineries. Good points; total serenity - only 2 cabins well positioned so you are looking at stunning sunsets on the verandah (not at each other) with local wine and cheese : ) beautiful stars, birds, walks, flat country for cycling comfy bed, lots of hot water, good heating spotlessly clean Bad points - none really! a little remote from Mudgee but a nice day trip and this leads to serenity! Highly recommended! we will return in summer so we can swim at Dunn's Swamp.
We were actually in Rylstone for an air show. 165 small planes landing at the local aerodrome. We stayed in cottage No 1. It was comfortable and warm and the outlook was beautiful. The cottage was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Perhaps the bed and the TV could have been bigger. WE had a very friendly reception and certainly enjoyed our stay.
My wife and i had a great couple of days at the Peppercorn Cottages. Beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, cottages, with amaising views accross the rolling hills. Watching the sunset from our private deck was very memorable. Would recommend Peppercorn Cottages to anyone wanting a quiet break. We will be back.
