Large comfortable room where everything seemed to work. Central heating was just right on a cold night. Very reasonable tariff. The attached Chinese restaurant served adequate Chinese/Australian cuisine at reasonable prices.

Pulled into Oberon and stayed at the Big Trout with a bunch of Motorcycle riders out for a weekend. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the rooms clean and everything worked. Great showers! A solid place to stay overnight if passing through Oberon.

The room was warm when we arrived on a cold wet day. This was very welcoming. Comfortable beds too. Basic bathroom needs but no hand towels and only one face washer. Tea, coffee and a toaster so you could get your own breakfast if you were prepared. Chinese restaurant was part of the complex but the dishes were ordinary except...

We have used this motel previously, but this trip left us underwhelmed. The central heating was just adequate, no microwave, little crockery ( not even a bowl for cereal) and a cold shower in the morning!! Time for a few inproements for the money we paid.

Reception was helpful. The room was a good size but poorly lit. The fluid core heater struggled to make a difference in -2oC temperatures. We carry our own, new fan heater for a back up. I did not notice air conditioning for the warmer times. A large complex with attached restaurant which is run independently. Wifi was barely useable.

Consistently good service, cleanliness and country hospitality. Just walk for outstanding service on the onsite restaurant for a tasty country Chinese/Australian cuisine which is well supported by the community. (NB. book ahead for a table). Charming staff and chef. The decor has been updated from the 1980's to the 1990's so wear your sun glasses; even so, despite everything, we...

This motel is in the traditional 70's style and is very well kept. The rooms are all of solid brick construction, so you probably won't here your neigbours unless they are have a really really good time. We stayed in a family room which had one double and three single beds. The room was huge and everything was spotlessly clean....

First of all to book a room I emailed them through their website & I never got a reply, so I called the hotel the next day & was answered by a cleaner who advised me that the owner had gone out to do banking & won't be back till 1pm! Second time I ran I got a booking. We...

Being part of a large group that filled the motel really put a test on the staff at the motel and restaurant. They handled it like true professionals. The rooms were ready on arrival and were always kept in pristine condition for our return each day. The highlight of our 3 night stay was the restaurant whose staff were delightfully...
