Great food in the goldmine cafe, the accommodation was excellent very clean and had everything in it. Nundle is a great little town with plenty of things to see. The owner Warren has great knowledge of the town and was very helpful while we were staying. We will definitely be back
We had a great stay at the Goldmine Guest House great accommodation very neat and clean has an awesome veranda across the front ,plenty of room to sit and enjoy peace and quite of this lovely town. The owner was lovely and very knowledgeable on the area and places we should go to explore. Loved the Goldmine was very interesting to look through and found the food good and staff at the cafe lovely.
Came up for the lions club annual twilight Xmas market and had a lovely stay in the guesthouse! Clean and tidy, great facilities, comfy beds, complementary continental breakfast. Floors do squeak a little near bedroom doors but it's an old building so hardly surprising (just extra mindful as other people share the guesthouse area). Would definitely return! :)
Having been to Nundle many, many times, this was the first time staying at the Gold Mine Guesthouse. Room was the "Gold Bullion Room" with private bathroom. Very clean with a comfy bed and a good shower. Everything you could want for a comfortable stay, rate was reasonable, and though we had to leave early and miss out on it, breakfast looked good.
What a great place. From the start you are made to feel at home as if you were part of the family. Our daughter has stayed in the Guesthouse more than once and raved about it. We stayed in the Motel part of the property and we can honestly say it was one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in. Everything was bright and clean and welcoming. Loved the historical sketches on the walls which fitted in with the towns history. Great shower. We slept really well and would have stayed another night if we could. If you stay, allow time for a two night stay at least. Nundle looks small on the map, but there is so much to see and do. God willing, we will be back for a longer stay. Megan and Warren were delightfully helpful and friendly and provided a lovely warm fire on the chilly morning we had our breakfast, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The standard breakfast came at no cost as it was included in the price of the room, which was the cheapest room we paid for in our two week holiday excursion. After our breakfast we wondered around the building checking out the history of the place. There is a "gold mine' tour in the building that you can go through. We didn't have time, but the guest book was a testimony to it's popularity. We did have time to go down a level into a knitter's paradise. My wife wanted the first thing she saw. Knitted and woollen goods of all kinds were on display and the quality and workmanship was astounding. Don't bring your granny or you'll never get her out of there. The most interesting thing was that Megan, the owner was the designer and maker of most of what we saw. Very gifted. You can stay for a night and be fully satisfied, or you can stay for a while longer and be overjoyed that you did. We're definately going to stay longer next time aaround.…
