Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our motel was clean, roomy and comfortable. Megan was helpful in providing internet access which had temporarily failed. The provided breakfast was modest; 4 slices of frozen bread and minuscule packets of corn flakes. Minor problem with wanting an early night as inebriated revellers on the pub verandah were extremely loud and crude until 11.15 p.m.

Room was clean and tidy. Unusual check in process but okay. No hot water at night even though only 6 rooms and not at capacity of people. Have been charged twice for accommodation firstly when booked ($120) then took card number again when checked in by phone, noted another chafrge of $140 on that day. Have tried to contact via emaisl to have paper trail but will not reply at all, have had to lodge credit card teansaction dispute now to try and resolve. On checkout office was open but no apologies/ restitution for no hot water. Good town to visit but not impressed with lack of customer service.

We enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and comfortable. I thought our room service could have been better, we paid $140 per night and stayed 2 nights. Our room wasn’t serviced very well, our bed was just pulled up with bumps all over the sheet wasn’t even folded over. The bin wasn’t emptyed the tea and coffee was replaced and we had to go to the cafe up the road to get some. We also had to find someone to give us a new wi fi password for the second day and it didn’t work that night anyway. The have only had the place for a month but I think they need to improve their service.

I have given this review 5 stars primarily because of the hospitality shown by the owner, the rooms are not 5 star but are of a good standard. It is right in the hart of town, across the road from the Peel Inn, Woolen Mill, and short walk to all other shops. The room was a bit larger than most others we have stayed in. This is the only motel in town and only has 6 rooms, but there are B&B's and the Peel Inn has rooms. The room had a flat screen TV with free to air channels, usual toaster and kettle, bar fridge and microwave

My wife and I stayed in no 2 unit for the Chinese go for gold festival. Being centrally located in town everything was at our door step. The unit was spacious and clean, Marie was such a delightful host with good advice on where to go for a great meal. We had such a great time at nundle, the locals were so friendly Will be staying here again.

At $350.00 for a one night stay you would expect basic cleanliness. Our family of five stayed in the residence. The upstairs bathroom was not cleaned. The floor had a lot of hair and dirty footprints on the floor from previous guests. The shower had not been cleaned, a protective cap from a razor was still in the shower on our arrival as well as general dirtiness. The downstairs bathroom no better with a gap in a shoddy patch in ceiling stuffed with toilet paper !. Very obvious food splatters left on the front of kitchen cupboards. Noisy motor outside. When I complained I was told the conditions were due to renovations. Only signs of renovations (repair) was the appalling patch in the bathroom ceiling, certainly not recent, not sure how this would impact on mopping the bathroom. No offer of any type of refund or compensation.

Thank you Lynne for your review. It is always our intent to present our property in the best possible way and to look after guests in a positive, caring manner. I am sorry that if on this occasion we disappointed you, however, your family was part of a group booking for a wedding being held on the Saturday afternoon. The groom’s family booked all the accommodation and allocated varied rooms available as they saw them to be suitable for their guests. A rate of $70 per person for the wedding was agreed to. As our residence is 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living, dining, kitchen, laundry they felt that this would suit your family of 5. As for the premises being ‘tired’, we presently have an insurance claim pending related to water problems between the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. To investigate the problem our plumber had to cut into the downstairs ceiling and rather than have a gaping hole a temporary patch was done. This investigative work was done just prior to Christmas. To avoid drips between upstairs and downstairs absorbent paper was placed around the edges. Some floor tiles in the upstairs bathroom were cracked at this time. We are still waiting for the insurance company to give us repair dates and times. On check-in your husband was shown these problems and the person on duty apologised for any inconvenience. He thanked us for taking the time with him. As your family entered the residence at varying times it is hard for us to judge the bathroom usage. Contrary to what you have stated the residence was thoroughly cleaned following the departure of the previous guests. Our person on duty did check with you regarding the air conditioning before you left for the wedding on Saturday afternoon and none of your concerns were mentioned then. Yes we agree that our air conditioning motor is noisy, it is a ducted system with an external compressor. The noise was mentioned to the installer of the Daikin system following its original installation who told us that the particular model we have is noisier than most. Again I am sorry if we did not meet your expectations on this occasion.

My husband and I stayed here on Wednesday night. Hot day outside, but lovely and cool inside. The air conditioner wasn't on, but the lovely big room was the perfect temperature. Marie is an excellent hostess, and her room was spotless. The room had both a front and back door, and a bench out the back was just right for catching up on my emails.

A baaic motel in a small county town. Clean , neat and tidy. Service was great and organised. The grounds of the motel was very well kept. Rooms are very basic. I agree with another Trip Advisor person....fly spray prob been in the room since 1980 and doesn't spray properly. Good cetral location but I do think for $140 per night ( Saturday rates ???) is a little steep. I would use this Motel again though!

Hi Donna, Thank you for your review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Nundle and would stay with us again. We always try to look after our guests in a friendly, professional way. Our Saturday rate is $140.00 as our costs are greater at the weekend due to penalty rates. Our insect spray is not from 1980 – in fact it is an Australian made and owned product – similar to Mortein and sourced from a local supplier in Tamworth as we believe supporting our local businesses and we do restock regularly. At times we do get a faulty sprayer and the spray would have been replaced if you had mentioned the problem to us.

Front office greeting typically country friendly. Rooms are tired but basically clean. Mozzie spray dated from the dark ages and is the most basic no frills....get some mortein!! Bed and linen comfy and clean. Local pub is very good, OK wine selection and truly superb local trout dish, very , very good. Nundle is a gorgeous stopover. Some locals just need to learn to say hello!
