Had a one night stay here in. Budget room.
The staff (Maureen and Jess) are friendly, welcoming and very professional. They clearly take pride in their jobs, and the COVID safe measures are great!

The artesian pools are lovely and so relaxing, it’s nice to heat up in the 40 degree pool and then plunge into the cold pool.

The room has been updated and was nicely appointed, the fold-down table is very practical. The room isn’t huge but it is big enough for two (and our stupid amount of luggage- we need to learn to pack light!). The bed is snuggly and comfortable, we were warm and slept very well. The towels were nice and fluffy, and we appreciated being given fresh towels to use in the pools.

My only criticisms- the high cleaning in the bathroom is not well attended, there’s heavy dust on the ledges and doorframe and dead bugs on the ceiling. I notice this as I’m tall, and I cleaned tge dust, honestly though I find this in most hotels I stay in, cheap or expensive, it just looks a little unprofessional. The provided liquid soap in the shower was a little low and we used it up, I’m sure if we had’ve asked we would have been given more.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, walked around town without any concerns and we would definitely visit again.

Our recent stay was in the caravan park which is located next to the motel and all part of the same complex. The park is well kept, clean and tidy. The amenities, tv lounge etc were clean and tidy and roads and grassed sites also. Cost of powered and unpowered sites was very reasonable. My one criticism though is of the caravan "dump point" which, unlike all others we have used, does not have a lid covering the disposal area and is exposed to flies etc. The best thing about this park, apart from its location off the highway and close to the CBD is the thermal poles located within an easy walk from your van site. Very well kept, clean and undercover, it is the best place to relax after a days travel. Well worth a stop!

This motel has it all!
Good rooms, brilliant dining room and menu and more importantly cheerful, helpful staff.
It is sited beautifully with a riverside view and is within walking distance to town shops.
It has three pools, two of which are heated by artesian water to about 41-43 degrees. We recently spent 3 nights there and even with Coronavirus pool limitations, we were still able to use the conveniently sited pools frequently. The chef is to be complimented as the meals were varied and delicious. We will definitely return for a longer stay next year

We stopped there on a drive from Sunshine Coast Qld to Melbourne. The rooms are very spacious, including a kitchenette, I would suggest also recently renovated and spotlessly clean, very comfortable King Bed, we used the pools 3 times in our overnight stay. We ate in the restaurant there which was a lovely setting and thoroughly enjoyed our meals, one of steak and the other barramundi which were both cooked to perfection. The rates for the room and prices in the restaurant were very reasonable.

Receptionist @ dinner (FRESH grilled baramundi, veges, n chat potatoes) were best attributes of this VERY tired @ neglected motel. Receptionist seemed to be the only staff besides the substitute chef who did a great job.

Room was small, smelly, @ old. Luckily I travel with air freshener! Hard to see if it was clean.

Smaller outdoor warm mineral pool is smelly @ has a scum around it @ on top of the water which may or may not originate from the minerals.
Indoor hot pool smells too.
Outdoor cold pool wasn't clean either as palms drop debris onto it.

Noise from neighbours, guests who sit outside the rooms @ cars is disturbing.
Also the noise from the AC box above tbe door outside is too much too.
Located on a main road yet not too noisy.

Cannot recommend this motel as it's a nightmare!

Don’t stay here false advertising the Restaurant is not working and looks unlikely to work in the foreseeable future. It is away from other food venues. The motel manager was unfriendly and the room was dirty run down with most things like windows not working. Bathroom sink is the only place to wash up the provided utensils and the jug barely fits under the tap.
They do genuinely have an artesian swimming pool and spa but very run down with algae obvious on the pool sides.

Recently stayed here for work. Upon check-in, we were handed extra towels to barricade our doors with and a can of bug spray to use against the mice, locusts and ear wigs. The room was full of bugs and clearly hadn’t been cleaned. The bedsheets were full of bugs as well.
The staff didn’t seem phased by the situation at all as they still charged us 100%

The motel is older but the room we had was clean, the bed was very comfortable. Reception ( Maureen ) so more than helpful, explaining due to recent harvest we may encounter some bugs ( gave us the spray we might need) the artesian pools were very clean and the opening times were fantastic.
I was impressed with their COVID regulations
I would stay here again and would recommend this motel

Maureen was very helpful during the booking and checking in process. Room had a strong bleach smell which eventually dissipated. We slept with the glass door open to help with ventilation.

By the time we arrived the indoor pool was being 'serviced' but we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor artesian pool and the outdoor cold salt water pool. I have had chronic pain for a number of years and I kid you not, I felt quite nimble after my late afternoon ritual.

All staff we met were very helpful and friendly. We dined on site for pure convenience.

We have stayed at the Artesian Spa Motel on and off over the past 15 years. In that time the motel has not changed. Our most recent stay one night before a road trip to Dubbo with our grandchildren and one night on the return journey was the most expensive and also the tackiest motel we stayed in. The rooms are old and in dire need of an upgrade. The beds and sheets were clean but that is all. Only two pillows of the four pillows in our room had pillow slips and the towels were thin and old. The water pressure in the shower was dreadful, the toilet bowl below the water line was black and needed a good clean and the basin looked dirty because it was so full of hairline cracks. The view from our room of the fence along the river has not seen a coat of pain in a long time and the brown grass full of weeds was depressing and given the abundance of underground water in Moree it makes one realise that the owners of this motel just don't care. We will most certainly not be staying at the Artesian Spa Motel again even though its is the only motel in Moree to have artesian pools
