Detailed Reviews
Unfortunately we had a couple of lapses in service including not having milk provided to us in the room, even after we had requested it, an inadequate supply of coffee, and coffee mugs which we described as dirty – but the motel considered were just stained. Addressing these problems was made more difficult by the office being unmanned most of the time – although they did respond to phone calls. Beyond that the location was quiet, rooms were reasonable, although not overly generously sized, showers were hot, beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well.

+1
Stayed here with another group for 3 nights. We were in the region to attend the Cold Chisel concert - and yes, that was brilliant!!! The accommodations were terrific. Very roomy, well equipped kitchenette, great amenities, comfortable bed and smack in the middle of the gorgeous little town of Millthorpe. You can walk to anywhere from here!!
Definitely recommend staying here if you have any business in Orange (10-15 min drive) or in the broader area.
Don’t miss a wine tasting directly out the front or an early morning coffee from over the road!

This is a very comfortable country motel.
We stayed in one of the new rooms in the buildings at the back of the motel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, although I would not describe them as “boutique”. The rooms were good value compared to other places in town that were a lot more expensive.
I note that they have an electric vehicle charger (although we didn’t need it for our diesel).
Our booking experience wasn’t great but they did everything they could to fix it which was very much appreciated.
All in all the room was nice and I would be happy to stay here again.
Make sure that you book direct with them as it is better for the motel and you may even save something. (You should do this with all country motels. They will appreciate it.)

We stayed over the weekend while visiting for the Orange Marathon. Would highly recommend, much better to stay in Millthorpe compared to Orange. The town was great and this motel is walking distance to everything. We had great food and service all weekend. The bath in our room was very large and we used the sofa for our 2 kids which worked well. Staff helped with a late checkout so we could shower after running the marathon, this was really appreciated. I will recommend to all family and friends.

My wife and I enjoyed 3 nights at The Boutique Motel in room 17 in March 2022 and would recommend this motel for accommodation if visiting the area. Phone motel direct to book . Lovely to walk around this town from the motel - choice of eating places, wine tasting. Short drive to Orange and the very historical village of Carcoar [visit here on a weekend ].The managers are a lovely couple who will assist you with anything you want to know. Malcolm McG.

We booked to stay one night in one of the motel's "Luxury Loft" rooms for $180. I had called to enquire about the rooms and was told these are much nicer than the motel rooms. Unfortunately, there was absolutely nothing that was "luxury" or nice about this accommodation, and worse than that, the room was dirty and the furniture old, stained and grotty. (see photos). One photo shows how dusty the bedside table was; another where there should have been two nice clean robes hanging but instead there was one obviously used one; and the other shows just how stained and dirty the furniture was. I did send an email to the owners after we left expressing our disappointment and pointing out the issues - however they didn't even bother to respond. Very disappointing. Definitely do not book a "luxury loft" room, and I'd suggest avoiding staying here all-together.

We stayed here just one night visiting family and were very impressed with this motel. The room was clean, spacious and well equipped. There was a kitchenette with a microwave and a mini bar with a wide range of items from a can of soup to chocolate and other snacks. The bed was Queen size and very comfortable; the bathroom was spacious and the air conditioner worked well. There was no breakfast available at the motel but the Providore Cafe just across the road had delicious pastries and coffee. We would happily stay here again.

We recently stayed at the Millthorpe Boutique Motel on a weekend away with another couple, booked into two rooms.
Our friends left after two nights, but we had wanted a longer look around the beautiful town of Millthorpe, so we had asked our friends, who were making the bookings, to put us down for four nights. On the morning our friends left my partner was feeling a bit unwell, so we had hung out the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, aiming for an unhurried start to the day. At 10.30 am, Emma (Millthorpe Boutique Motel employee) hammered on our door and when my wife answered, came at us all guns blazing to inform us we needed to vacate immediately and move next door, that we had ignored her text telling us this, and that we were lucky she wasn't going to charge us for the cleaning fee for the unit next door, since we'd stayed in the wrong unit.
We were entirely unaware of what she was very stridently telling us. When we tried to explain that we were unaware of the fact we a) we should have been occupying the other unit (as the longer stay) or b) of any text that had been sent...Emma doubled down - on the volume and tone, as well as the message. When she eventually paused my partner explained to her that we had no issue at all with moving, and that we would have done so if we'd been aware we needed to do so, she blustered on. My wife finally asked her to please bring her volume down and to consider whether starting with a question rather than a series of accusations might have gone better.
Having understood that the extended stay was booked to our friends' room, so we dutifully moved next door for the next two nights.
What was otherwise a really pleasant stay in Millthorpe (recommended!) was spoiled because of the Millthorpe Boutique Motel's employee Emma not being either suited to or trained for interacting with guests and instead going straight to yelling and accusing rather than just letting us know that we needed to be in the room next door. Which was no problem at all.
Due to Emma, we won't be stay here again, and nor will our friends who recommended the hotel and stay there regularly for work. There are lots of other options in Millthorpe. We'd recommend looking at those instead.

Booked the basic room, quite good value I thought.
Got a call in the morning to advise they prefer contactless checkin with instructions on how to do it. Fine with me in these covid days.
The room is fine, with a microwave and fridge.
The linen and towels are high quality and the bathroom spotlessly clean and well appointed.
A shame you need to keep the curtain closed for privacy.
Motel’s location is perfect for the Providore (across the street) and the upmarket Tonic restaurant on the next corner.
Everything is walkable in this cute village though.

Quaint, that’s the best explanation I have for this place. Neat little room (was in Room 1 in the cottage) that had everything I needed for an overnight stay, it’s a bit tight and would have been more-so if I was sharing the room.
Very clean, huge comfy bed and a cute little kitchenette for my morning coffee.
Highly recommend the Providore Cafe across the road for breakfast, absolutely sensational breakfast burger and delicious coffee.
Great little town too with an excellent old pub down the road that does excellent food.
