Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Henry Lawson campsite (named after a popular poet) is quite well equipped; a friendly lady shows us the pitch that we can use. Everything is fine and very well maintained. The small center of the city with its numerous historical buildings is quickly reached.

This is a welcoming park, just a short walk from the old town. The sites are shady and roomy. The amenities are brand new. There is a small playground for children There is even an aviary with budgerigars.

The only downside for me was the water. It was -3 this morning and the water pipe was frozen.

Renamed Gulgong Tourists Park
We booked our cabin on Wotif a few hours before we arrived. The photos online showed all new renovated cabins, they looked amazing. Unfortunately, we found out that when we opened our door that only some were new, which was disappointing. However, apart from the old smell in the cabin, it was clean and cosy and had lots of hot water for the shower (which made me so happy). The new owners had added new cups and kettle etc. the gentleman that I spoke to at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Wotif and online advertising is only brand new to them, I explained the only disappointment I had and he was very apologetic. Not all photos have been uploaded yet. Maybe call and ask about the new cabins before making the booking. However, even the old one was perfectly fine. You can tell that the new owners are working hard to improve the park. The park was very quiet. For $98, no complaints here and we would stay there again.
Meals- the post office hotel amazing for dinner
And the butchers cafe was lovely for breakfast.

Excellent tourist park for caravanners. Drive through sites, Attractive gardens Top customer service superb facilities. The showers and toilets so well equipped for COVID situation with sterilising hand machines outside toilet blocks and Paper towel inside with bins enabling minimal hand contact. So different from many.

We just spent 3 nights in a cabin with everything you would need. We booked for 2 nights, but due to inclement weather at our next proposed camping location, we stayed an extra night. Bronwyn was extremely helpful.
The cabin had full size fridge and stove, plenty of hot water with great pressure. While dated, extremely clean and less than $100 a night. Comfy bed and very warm.
We would definitely stay again👍

We had an overnight stay at this well maintained park. The ammenties were spotless and the idea of using sanitiser before entering the ammenties block (in this era of covid) is to be commended. Other operators should take note. The camp kitchen was also spotless. Hihgly recommended

Booked one of the new bedroom cabins with access to a communal kitchen and toilets/shower for a weekend stay. Was pleasantly surprised as the facilities were fantastic. Super clean with everything you need to self cater. Lovely showers on par with a hotel rather than a campsite. The room was big enough with loads of storage and a massive tick for me were the heated blankets which were lovely at this time of year as the nites were very chilly. Fridge and TV and nice balcony and we felt it was fantastic value for money and will be back. Heath the.manager was lovely and very flexible which was much appreciated - thankyou to you and the team for a great stay.

We booked online and requested one of the new cabins featured in the promo. We found the cabin spotlessly clean, well fitted out with microwave, large family size fridge, crockery and utensils to suit a small family. Firm King size mattress was comfy. Separate bedroom with 2 bunk beds for the kids. The wifi was a bit patchy. The reverse cycle aircon was a boon as the night temp dropped to -2 deg. The only criticism was the squeaky floor immediately in front of the stove area. Only in that area. And you have to walk through it to get to the bathroom from the min bedroom. The management told us the new owners had done a lot to turn it around from its dubious past. They are doing a great job. The park was tidy clean and seemed well maintained.

We had a two night stay in one of the new cabins that sleeps 6.
The cabin was great - new and fresh. One bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has 2 sets of bunks.
Kitchen has gas cooktop, a convection microwave oven and a full size fridge

Very disappointed with the park owners. After paying our 1 night deposit to secure our upcoming stay they then increased our rate by 43% for the remainder on our nights without any prior written notice. We had organised a family reunion and I had encouraged many people to stay at the park so I could not change the venue at the last moment so I had no alternative but to pay.

I have complained to Fair Trading and the Gday Holiday park group and still the owners refuse to acknowledge that this is so so wrong.

Unfortunately the first night of your booking was the last night before our price rise, hence the deposit was for that amount. It was explained to you what the total tariff was and that included the tariff rise. We also quoted you the tariff for your group which were in the same cabins as you with the new tariff so you would have know what tariff you were paying. I think focusing on the deposit not the total tariff and the time frame between booking and staying may have led you to believe your cabin was for less. The new tariff rise also included up to 4 guests not the standard 2 guest. Your group used our facilities with some staying at other accommodation with no extra charge. It is unfortunate you feel this way but I think we have been fair.
