Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The motel is private and comfortable. The reception is open until late, allowing a late check in until 8:30pm. The motel was clean, with a large bed and awesome new bathroom for $100. Although the Highway made some noise it was easy to sleep through. The heating was good as well.

Room was clean and comfy. TV for free to air with Austar box which had limited options. Microwave and toaster in room. English Breakfast tea and Moccona coffee - nice. Fridge smaller than usual motel offering. Water pressure not great but adequate. Guest kitchen was useful. Parking was a little awkward as spaces were not allocated and we couldn't park in front of our room.

I booked a single night for a wedding. Unfortunately I had a relative get sick, and had to cancel. Despite being outside the free cancellation time, they cancelled for no cost. I really appreciate the compassion and care they gave me during this difficult time. Thank you High Mountains Motor Inn, I’ll be visiting for sure when I can.

The managers were lovely and kind no problems there. I found it was to noisy as I'm a light sleeper so to light sleepers don't go. If your a heavy sleepers go. To me the beds and pillows were hard. So if people don't like hard beds don't go but if you like hard beds go. If you don't like hard pillows don't go or take your own pillows. If I go to blackheath again I'll drop in to say hi to the managers again as I liked them as people. The rooms were clean. So to the people reading this review up to you all have a good day and safe holidays

Our walking group booked a number of rooms at the High Mountains Motor Inn. Peggy went above and beyond to accommodate our individual needs starting with a phone call to everyone prior to arrival. A seamless check in to clean and comfortable accommodation where everything worked well. We enjoyed the BBQ area as a group and the camp kitchen made it easy to clean up afterwards. Highly recommended especially for groups.

Stayed here for one night on a trip to the Blue mountains. It is an old motel but has had a recent renovation with a new bathroom, TV and mattresses on the bed. Shower and bathroom were great. Rest of room was functional if dated. Decent selection of tea and coffee. Check in and out were very efficient. Only problem we had was the smoke alarm randomly went off at 3am.

We have stayed at Blackheath many times over recent years and could not get booking at short notice for other motels, but could here. We had stayed here before and were pleasantly surprised this time as the bathroom had been recently renovated and was nice. Very clean, tidy and comfortable, though room was rather small and basic. Having said that, all we needed was there and we had a good stay. Some road traffic noise but not really intrusive. Would stay here again when in Blue Mountains.

Stayed for 2 nights for our hiking adventures around the Blue Mountains, clean room with added NEWLY RENOVATED BATHROOM, nice & comfy beds with heated blankets. Room service the next morning is a bonus. The staff were friendly & accommodating. There’s also a kitchenette for everyone with NO EXTRA COST ( microwave, tall fridge, electric stove, etc). Highly Recommended.

We found the room simple but very clean and pleasant. Everything we needed, tea, coffee and bar fridge, which was reasonably priced. It is about 500 m to walk to Blackheath and the shops. The community BBQ looked attractive.
