When four wet bushwalkers arrived Margaret gave us a very warm welcome, after hot showers and cups of tea by the fire, we were completely refreshed. Rooms are not large but are well appointed, and as there are spacious sitting areas either by the fire or by the large windows its a lovely place to relax. A few minutes walk...

We stayed here on the Anzac weekend and had a lovely stay in what is a small, laid-back town. The accomodation is slightly dated, however this really suits the style that the guesthouse is trying to achieve. The hosts were very welcoming and were always willing to offer their recommendations of the area. The rooms are very cozy and well...

Glenella has a lovely welcoming vibe, thanks to friendly laidback hosts Margaret and Rowan, who have put a lot of thought into the guest experience, from their tasty home-cooked breakfasts to the good quality bedding and towels. We felt very comfortable and spent quite a bit of time in the communal areas, watching TV or just sitting in a sunny...

Quiet and homely living areas, helpful and friendly hosts, interesting fellow guests, good breakfast and pleasant surroundings are all available at Glenella. We celebrated our diamond wedding anniversary by staying in this historic old guest house and could not have been more delighted by the warm welcome we received and the general atmosphere.

Well what can I say except how refreshing to stay somewhere so inviting and friendly in the world of b&b. Thank-you to Margaret and Rowan who have reignited Glenella to a traditional Blue Mountains stay without the stuffy atmosphere. We loved it.

It has been 33 years since we stayed at Glenella with our baby daughter at the time. It was lovely to go back. It is in a great location for people taking the train, the rooms are just as cosy and the new owners very keen to please. The breakfast was excellent and there is lots to do and see...

We stayed for three nights as party of four in two adjoining rooms in the main ground floor part of the B&B. This B&B is a period property in wonderful condition set off the main high street in the quaint small-town of Blackheath. The owners are the consummate hosts attentive without being intrusive. The rooms are well appointed, and furnished...
