Our cycling touring group of 13 had to do a last minute diversion due to flooding and road closures.
With only 6 hours notice Andrew had all our rooms ready and organised a delicious salmon dinner and dessert for 13 hungry cyclists.
Our rooms were Novotel quality with recently renovated bathrooms, super comfortable beds and quality sheets.
Andrew’s customer service and attention to detail was outstanding, due to our tight schedule we could not take advantage of his amazing theatre experience on offer, complete with retro seating and the movie or theatre experience of your choice.
Everyone we spoke to as we cycled through the district knew of and spoke highly of Andrews Playhouse experience, we cannot recommend The Playhouse and Andrew’s hospitality enough.

I had the pleasure of staying at The Playhouse Hotel where a friend's birthday party was being held. Andrew could not have done more to make the event more enjoyable, and the prices of accommodation and food represent good value. The rooms were well equipped and the bed was very comfortable.

We were passing through so initially booked for 1 night. After talking to our host Andrew, we decided to stay a second night so we could see the silent movie he was showing the next afternoon.
We were so pleased we made that decision as we thoroughly enjoyed the movie and 2 fantastic pianists who played for 2 hrs straight providing the music for "A Sentimental Bloke". Our whole experience was topped off with my delicious home made ice cream.
The room we had was comfortable and dinner at the Commercial Hotel was ok. The kettle in our room could do with being replaced. Andrew cooked our breakfast the next morning which was nice- a little pricey but we didn't mind supporting this quirky venue.

This is a little oasis of style and hospitality in a small country town. The restoration has been carried out with style and flair and Andrew adds a level of hospitality rarely found.
Don’t miss the theatre. It would have to be unique and breakfast was excellent as well.

How wonderful to discover this beautifully renovated ‘pub’ on a country road trip. Ultra comfortable rooms with stylish amenities, delicious home-style cooking for dinner and breakfast and awesome hospitality - it is like being welcomed into a friend’s home. Well done Andrew

Had the pleasure of an overnight stay at this lovely boutique hotel. Andrew the host was so welcoming, even having turned the airconditioner on to warm up our room prior to our arrival. Room & en-suite renovated & super comfy bed. Sarah at reception was very nice & helpful. Location was great, local pub across the road & bowling club a 3 - 4 minute walk down the road. Would definitely stay again.

What an absolute gem of a hotel. You won't have to search too hard on the famous Fossicker's Way to find this nugget of golden service and accommodation.
Extensively and tastefully renovated by the current owner, who is one of the loveliest bloke around. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. everything feels fresh and spotlessly clean. This is a fairly quiet part of the country, so the personal attention you'll receive will make your stay even better. Show the owner some love if you're in the area, and have a night or two here. You won't regret it, and you'll really be helping keep this gorgeous venue alive.

We were 3 couples and stayed one night recently. Andrew could not have done more for us, he was so accommodating and helpful. Our rooms were all slightly different but had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The bed was super comfortable, nice pillows and really lovely linens. The bathrooms are modern and have a nice selection of amenities. We enjoyed a delicious steak dinner and dessert whilst there. Can highly recommend this lovely boutique hotel.
