Andrew and his team created an amazing experience during our stay with private dining in the cinema, expertly catered and with the mood set by artful lighting and table decorations. A well kept and lovingly restored hotel with attentive and friendly staff. Our group of 12 could not have been happier with our stay. A must if you are in...

My husband and I stay at the Playhouse whenever we go to Barraba to see family. Andrew is a such a wonderful host and the service is on par with expensive city hotels. The historical building is beautifully refurbished and the rooms give a homely feel. My favorite is the relaxing ambience in the dining room while enjoying great food.

Held a team christmas function at the Playhouse and Jane and her staff were fabulous! More than accommodation to our requests for a Christmas themed dinner, accommodation - and helping find additional accommodation. Could not have asked for more. Coffee/breakfast was fabulous too. Tidy/clean rooms, just made for a fabulous conference.

Absolutely loved my stay at the Playhouse. I was at the hotel for the better part of three weeks for work in the area. The ladies here really made it seem like a home away from home. The Rooms I stayed in were beautifully renovated and very clean and comfortable. What really makes the playhouse stand out though is the...

We had a family celebration here in mid October. The Venue was delightful and the food delicious. I can't thank the staff enough for such a wonderful afternoon and evening. The Theatre was perfect for the celebratory slideshow and to entertain the younger kids with a move while adults enjoyed dinner. Loved the beautiful flowers from their garden as well.

This is a unique establishment that doesn't fit into normal categorization. Wonderful Staff, Room great. Food great. We spent a night whilst traveling through NSW. After a long day's driving it was wonderful to be pampered from the time we walked in the door all the way to our checkout. We happened to stay on a night that Goldheist was...

My wife and I stayed here on a slow driving trip up to Queensland. There are many rave reviews on this website, and they are all right! Our host, Andrew, took great care to make us comfortable; we also had much interesting conversation with him. He opened up the small theatre for the two of us, offering to show "any...

Thank you Andrew for a very pleasant stay. It was quite by chance that we stayed here due to a road closure, lucky for us. Outstanding hospitality on our arrival from Andrew, who could not do enough to help us. The room was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. If you are in this area this is the place to stay....

I went to Barraba for work and stayed at the Playhouse Mon-Fri. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. They took really good care of us. I'm intolerant to gluten and dairy and it was no problem for them to adapt the menu for me. They make their own ice cream in-house and they especially made coconut milk ice cream...
