We had cabin# 19 for 5 nights and found this caravan park very neat and tidy and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Cabin# 19 is just meters from the river and very private to sit and enjoy the afternoon sun - highly recommended. The mattresses were comfortable with fresh, crisp linen. Bathroom was spotless. Everything we needed was there, laundry was $5 per load ($1 coins only but change at front desk).
Will recommend and would stay again.

This is an excellent caravan park with very clean and tidy amenities. We used this as a base to drive out to Mungo National Park. The park is located near to the town centre. The camp kitchen is also excellent. There is a river walk located behind the van park. The check-in was easy and we used a site large enough to allow us not to take the Suzuki off the back of our motorhome,

Stayed on 26 December 2022 and paid $90 for an adult and one child in a private standard cabin with a double bed, sofa that can be slept on, towels, kitchen with a fridge, TV, air conditioner and table. No bathroom but the communal showers/toilets were nearby and very clean. Parking available outside the cabin. Recommended for a cheap stay in Balranald.

We booked a powered site but decided to treat ourselves to a cabin. Just one available and it was not up to par. Dirty sink and cups and a toilet that didn't work properly. Few pots and pans but no stove top, only a microwave but nothing to cook with in the microwave. The very nice staff loaned us their personal bowl which was nice but we couldn't cook the first night. The price was more expensive that some hotels in town and not on par with some of those.
The location is great as right on the river and has a swing bridge walk close and is easy walk into town. Along the highway so there are trucks going by but if you stay on the river side not much noise

Do not EVER camp on sites 36-40 if there is a chance of rain. Our site, 38, turned into a swamp overnight, and when I pointed this out to the manager his response was interesting, to say the least. "Perhaps camping is not for you", "I'm sorry it rained", "You should buy a caravan". This bloke should not be let near customers, we felt very sorry for his wife, who was very nice.

Thank you for providing feedback regarding our park. We always try to ensure that our guests are accommodated as well as we possibly can, and it appears the night you stayed with us we had almost 30ml of rain - great for our drought effected area but not so great for our campers. The comments made were not intended to be rude - more so trying to lighten the situation and apologise for the misunderstanding.

What an absolute treat it was to stay in Balranald Caravan Park. This park is perfectly situated between a quaint rivers edge and 5min walk into the shops.
Great facilities, clean and drive through caravan powered sites (I am terrible at reversing 🤣).

Lovely clean park, nice and neat.
Amenities clean.
Manager was very helpful, nothing was an issue and friendly.
Although the river was in minor flood and they’d had rain the lawns and gardens are done.
A short walk to town.
Beaut spot fora bit of fishing.

I would not recommend this caravan park. The complete disgust and rac in how me and my family were treated by park management over the weekend.
1.1 cabins was not up to standards. It had stains and tissues left in the queen bed in the Deluxe Cabin. There was also dead flys on the table and floors through out the cabin. Cabin had not been vacuumed or sweeped.
1.2. The park manager had banned my kids from going into the pool because he thinks that one of my children went into the pool and pushed the pool chairs into the pool, on that day is was extremely wild wind weather and extremely hot day, so he accused my children of this. We were advised that alcohol is not permitted in the pool which is fine, but after coming back from a short drive around Balranald we saw a group of people camping in caravans in the pool drinking beer.
1.3 the door in the deluxe cabin door does not shut. So we had to use a chair up against the door to keep it shut. $150 a night, I don’t think so.
I have been to this caravan park many times in the past and my family are from Balranald. This is very disappointing as I from now on will not be staying at the Balranald Caravan Park in the near future.
I have contacted the Balranald Shire and made a formal complaint and the Balranald Aboriginal Land Council as this is a racial discrimination that should not happen in this day in age of 2020.

Clean country style park right on the Murrumbidgee river. Sites are clean and large. Amenities are old but extremely clean. There is a communal fireplace but you can have your own as long as fully contained off the ground. Pricing for powered site is $30.00 - not bad. Short walk to town. This is our 2nd stay and we will differently stay again

Really nice caravanpark. Well maintained, tidy camp kitchen, clean and fresh bathrooms etc. Friendly staff. Nice camping & caravan spots next to river. Will surely pull up here when passing through next time or just relax for a few days. Recommend staying close to river, road can be noisy if you are a light sleeper.

Hopefully the extremely wet weather from South Australia would have passed through by the time you get there. Don't think you'll have any problems. Beautiful lush lawns everywhere right down to the river. Absolutely fabulous place. Have fun.
You would have to contact the Caravan Park and check on availability and book with them.
