Spotlessly clean, large, pet friendly, air conditioned rooms with friendly helpful staff. We stayed here overnight on our drive too and from Sydney with our Cavoodle puppy. On our return trip we ordered a meal which was home cooked and delicious. This is a budget three star motel and I can highly recommend it to families or couples travelling with their “fur babies” We travel to Sydney several times a year with our dog. This motel is a great find and we will continue to stay here.

ideal and convenient place to stay, for that shorty business trip. Room was very bright and spotlessly clean.
Jo-Ann the owner is most helpful a pleasant, goes above and beyond to assist with local knowledge.
I enjoyed my stay so thank you Jo-Ann.

The draw card to this motel was the fact that it is pet friendly. If we are ever in Balranald again, whether we have our dog or not, we will definitely stay here. They have 2 rooms reserved for people with pets and to our surprise our room was immaculately clean, carpeted, and the bed was the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in. It was easy check in and the phone communication I had with Joanne was a pleasure. She was so friendly and trusting. Allowing pets is a smart move as it was what made our mind up to stay in Balranald and allowed us to see what a great motel it is. I would not class it as 3 stars. In my eyes, based on cost, comfort, cleanliness, easy communication and check in I would give this place 5 stars without hesitation. The reason for our trip was to get out of town for a weekend with everything going on with COVID, so went on a road trip with our dog. The river country is a good area to visit for a change of scenery for dogs.

We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights ,but on arrival informed them that as our tour to Mungo was being cancelled due to weather conditions, we would just stay one night. The published policy said changes within 2 days would result in 100 % of first night being charged - which was fine with us. However what they did not say is that if the change was not made before 2pm the day before ,the next night is also charged. We checked in before 3pm. That is not what their published policy states but they claimed it was "automated " and couldn't be changed. On top of this they were busy and rebooked the room after we left.
It is a shame as the accomodation itself was not bad although the air-conditioner was very noisy and location near a bend in the main road meant noise from trucks was obvious all night long.

I am a regular guest at Capri in Balranald having stayed regularly over the last decade as it is a convenient, dog (well behaved small and with references) friendly stopover on my drive from Sydney to Adelaide. I was pleasantly surprised and happy to find new owners working hard to create a comfortable place for travellers and workers to stay. The new owners were accommodating, friendly, motivated to improve and update the accommodation and to ensure our stay was comfortable. Thank you for a pleasant and safe environment. See you again soon.

Very appointed and comfortable, with good lighting, plentiful storage and various benches. While the building is not new, the rooms have been tastefully renovated and are spacious. There is also a guest kitchen with stove, full fridge and freezer. The owner was friendly and welcoming. It is located far enough off the highway to mute traffic noise. The Capri is not cheap, but compares very favourably with the more expensive competition. Recommended.

Experience was really great, rooms were very clean and the help given at reception was equally matching the cleanliness of the rooms. Very secure with all CCTV cameras. I was really happy with the whole setup. It had mini fridge and a microwave which came in very handy for a solo traveller like me especially because the tours to Mungo end at 12:15

I contacted this hotel directly to book a room to break up my trip from Canberra to Adelaide. I have my mother and two small dogs with me.
The gentleman that took my call booked the room and took my credit card details.
We arrived at approximately 4.30pm after driving almost nine hours from Canberra to discover they had no booking for us. He hadn't actually booked the room.
I showed the receptionist my phone log when I had made the call however the only response I received was 'I have no booking for you, we are fully booked'. I asked her if she could contact the man who had booked my room but her response was 'he is not here'.
Admittedly I became teary due to exhaustion and the thought of us having to sleep in the car for the night for which the receptionist's response was to tell me to 'calm down'.
She was clearly not willing to help us despite the fact that I had booked the room for the night, so I simply walked out.
Don't bother with this outdated, shabby looking hotel... they will muck up your booking and then refuse to assist you when you have nowhere to stay after a very long drive.
Thankfully, we were able to find a wonderful little hotel in the main street that took us for the night without question. Their review will be posted shortly...

The host was very welcoming and made us feel special on arrival The room was nice enough; nothing to write home about, but worth the expense. There is a nice pool. Also there was easy access to amenities in town.

We received a warm welcome on our arrival. Good to be able to park right outside our door as all rooms are on ground level. The room was a good size and we welcomed having a sofa to sit on. There is a microwave, kettle and toaster in the room and we decided to warm up soup and have roasted rolls for dinner. The bed was comfortable, water hot and WiFi good. Shops and cafes are close by. With the rooms to the rear of the property we didn’t notice any road noise. Suited us perfectly for our overnight stop.
