Really, though, I requested a mule (I wasn't feeling well) and they sent one down to greet me. The steps within the resort are many, but they weren't overwhelming, even if you're not in perfect shape. Plus, after all the great food, that bit of exercise was actually kind of welcome. The staff is extremely kind and very helpful. The...

Overall, Verana is a place where you can alternate between your trustiest hiking boots and your prettiest sun dress. Perfect. The decor of the entire property is artistic and eclectic - like everything else about Verana it boasted a very curated, yet easy vibe. Very special and not at all fussy. My fiance and I stayed 3 nights in the...

After finally booking our trip in September of 2015 I had an ample 5 months to research (obsess) over the many photos, reviews and write-ups about Verana. I was not disappointed. In fact, our trip was better than I possibly could have dreamed up over the past 5 months of anticipation. The staff is amazing (hello to Judy, Chantrelle, Jorge,...

Just go to the Website to see for yourself…..what a fantastic place this is ! We love the sense of solitude , beauty, majesty of nature you are set in here ! We have returned 5 times but refused to write up such a review for fear of packing the place !! But it is only the right thing to...

I have to agree with most of what TorontoTravelGirl09 and DeansMallMan911 said in their reviews, but I have to add that the activity packages really aren't worth the expense. My fiancé and I stayed at Verana for 5-nights over the Christmas holiday and booked the stay active package. We wanted to take the cooking class and do tequila tasting, but...

Glamping. i call it glamping when there are no walls and mosquito netting over the beds. things were nice and everything, but i was expecting a bit more for the costs. if you want to go to the beach or not want to eat at the hotel, you are in for quite a little hike which gets a bit tougher...

I really wanted to love Verana and visit it and write an amazing review, but it didn't end up being the place we thought it would. There are many wonderful things about Verana, such as its landscaping, warm and friendly staff, its incredible views, the unique design of each of its 'casas'. However, it's isolation didn't work for me. Unless...

After a few days on the busy streets of Mexico City, we were ready for our relaxing WeddingMoon at Verana. I wasn't fully ready for the taxing initial climb to the main part of the property, you get used to it after a few trips! Upon arrival, we were greeted with smiles and once at the top we were delighted...

It's hard writing a review that should be stating that Verana is awesome, but that wasn't our experience. So what great and what's not so great. The location is beautiful with glorious views over the bays, it was a smokey time in Yelapa as such the skies were not clear everyday even though they were cloudless..but there is nothing Verana...

We visited for our honeymoon in January 2013 during the full moon (I know it took me a while to write this...). It was a great adventure to get there, but it was worth the trek. The Tea house (open concept in the jungle - no walls and incredible view) is where we stayed and had breakfast brought to our...
