A really unique country gastro pub. Very friendly, warm and welcoming. Local sourced high quality food and English sparkling wine from the local vineyard. If you intend to go, book ahead as it gets very busy!

Having read the reviews thought this pub would be a great place to meet an old friend for lunch, you need to book as gets very busy. We are both foodies so to have to ask the staff to explain half a dozen items was educational. Limited number of dishes which is always a good sign and we were not...

We came for a family get together. A tiny cosy little pub that dies the most delicious Bloody Mary's. The staff were lovely; in particular the waitress who served us was super friendly and beyond helpful. We shared olives and bread, which was so tasty. The roast beef was incredible; the best roast dinner I've ever had in a restaurant....

This is such a wonderful place, having got married opposite the pub in 2012 it has a special place in our hearts returning for regular delicious meals. My brother stayed here for the wedding and returned from USA for his 40th celebrations here. We decided to spend a weekend here and stay for 2 nights in The Cottage and it...

The horse guards inn is a fun cozy old English pub (so named because the guards stayed there when on duty protecting the good and the great visiting petworth) It comprises a series of cozy rooms around the main bar. The food was delicious, a gastro interpretation resulting in some inventive dishes. Service was excellent. The Goan pork curry, and...

Six of us together with an 18 month old arrived for lunch having already booked. A very welcoming host showed us an ideal table with child seat in place. I saw no less than three log fires roaring away - one in each cosy dining room; there may have been more! I chose a delicious bread selection with unusual dips...

What a great find! We have been passed a number of times, but at last we stopped for lunch. A great menu of rather different things from the average pub menu. Great service and amberanc, with unusual bits and bobs decorating the bar. We will return!

We had a fantastic meal for my husband's birthday. The food was good quality and nicely presented. Definitely up market pub food so the prices were reasonable. The only negative was that our trout main course was only warm when it reached the table. Would have been able to spend longer enjoying it had it been hot on a hot...

I often meet friends at the Horse Guards on a Friday night . The food is stunning and the service amazing .The atmosphere is totally relaxed. You need to book and the parking is tricky . The decor for me is a bit dated but that is a minor detail.

We have just visited the Horseguards in Tillington and had another superb lunch. We started with potted trout and delicious dark bread, fantastic ham hock, chick pea soup, Followed by perfect roast beef? Beautiful vegetables, also, scrumptious pork, and roast shoulder of lamb. Food was amazing Can't wait to go back Great atmosphere full of life Lovely decor.
