My friend and I both had the Angel Steak & Ale pie and were most disappointed with our choice. The pastry was very dark and was like a rock, we struggled to cut it. It was mentioned to both a waiter and a waitress who purely said they would pass it onto the kitchen. We realise now we should have...

We met some family for lunch at The Angel Inn and had a wonderful time. The weather was cold and rainy so they seated us by the fireplace. The decor was like an old country inn or farm house. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. We would definitely go back again.

Was looking forward to eating in here after reading all the good reviews on Tripadvisor. The pub looks great on the inside, and a lot bigger than it looks. The staff very good and helpful too. We went on a Sunday, so it was the Sunday menu on offer.Three of us went for the Sunday roast £14.50 dearer than any...

Went on a Friday night but it wasn't busy, mainly because it was January. However, there were plenty of staff and all of them, without exception were warm and friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed, there was a real fire and the food was very good and reasonably priced. As it wasn't busy, there was plenty of room in the car...

We stayed for a night on Boxing Day and it was a really lovely experience! The room was old and fabulous with a large comfortable bed, it had a big, clean bathroom with large bath, the staff were all lovely & helpful and the breakfast delicious! We would recommend the Angel Inn and would stay here again.

Well this place was a real surprise. Excellent food, great kids menus (with a superb burger) but above all really lovely staff. They were only young but very efficient and above all friendly and welcoming. I had what was probably the best salad I've eaten out. We will be back. Thank you.

Had Christmas lunch at the Angel with friends this lunch time. All food was of a very high quality. The veg were stunning. Obviously fresh and plenty of them. Would recommend highly the spiced red cabbage. Service exemplary. Make sure you're hungry as there is plenty of it.
