This was the worst food experience of my life. It took an hour to get our starters. My crab pate was weird it was underneath a wax coating or something. A young girl served us who didn't look very old. The salad was awful. I took pictures for trading standards. They really shouldn't be able to sell food. Good as...

We stayed here the night before and the night after a family wedding held nearby. After an initial mix up with rooms (not sure whose fault this was) and one couple staying elsewhere for one night we had a most enjoyable stay in Uncle Jed's room. There was a small amount of road noise in the room but this was...

Took my daughter and her chap out to visit Petworth House and the lovely town, unfortunately we were late getting there due to traffic and roadworks. Once we arrive, it was mid afternoon, and we were all quite hungry, I saw this place across the road from Petworth House, and so decided to get some lunch before visiting the house....

Booked for a weekend as visiting family in area. The Inn is situated opposite Petworth House and Park which is a must to visit. The Inn is a short walk into the pretty town of Petworth. The Inn is very old with a small number of rooms. Our room was very comfortable, very clean and the bathroom was adequate. Tea/coffee/water...

We had a wonderful experience! Local Inn with a cosy and warm atmosphere. We had to wait a bit for the food, but it was worth is as it was excellent. The room was just above the pub, and very comfortable and cosy. Over all, a really lovely place and the staff was very friendly and obliging.

We stayed one night, in the Uncle Jed room, and loved it here. The food was good, the staff friendly and we slept like babies. In all, a lovely little countryside retreat that we'd be happy to return to.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady. We were very excited for our stay with 2 other couples for a wedding. Once shown to our room, were slightly disappointed. We stayed in the 'Harry room'. The furniture looked like it had seen better days, there was no milk for the tea, the coat hooks were falling off the...

We had a lovely lunch here and very reasonably priced. Very friendly staff and made to feel really welcome. The garden outside on a sunny day is great to sit and relax in. Very pleasant for a weekday lunch.

Had Sunday Lunch here with friends. Just across the road from Petworth House. Has the feel of a village pub but bery welcoming. Staff good. This is a great place for a drink (bar space is really comfortable) but the food was very good and well presented. Surprisingly quiet when we visited. Food available in the bar but I would...
