We stayed at this Travelodge for one night and were completely underwhelmed. I stayed here before attending a wedding some years ago and it was foul, so the way it is now is better but still missing a few tricks that even a budget hotel should have up their sleeve. On entering just past reception there was a distinct odour...

Stayed here (admittedly very cheaply after booking online) over Christmas 2011. Checked in on the 23rd and checked out on Boxing Day. The room was (typical Travelodge) clean and basic but as soon as we opened the door, there was a strong smell of damp in the room. This appeared to be eminating from a discolouration on the carpet by...

We stayed here overnight on NYE and we had an excellent time. The room was a family room (29) and was right next to fire door (so noone next to us!) It was clean and tidy and surprising spaceous. Its quite basic (bed, flat screen tv and sofa) but we only paid £32.50 so cannot complain. Would come back again.

Our stay didnt start well as there was a firework event at Fontwell racecourse and rather than park on the grass the visiting populus decided to use the hotel carpark ! Then the room key didnt work so began the visits back to reception. The room and bathroom were very clean and the room not too warm. I did wonder...

The previous reviews were bang on. Do not go to this Travelodge. It is an absolute disgrace. Smelly, wet rooms and little help from the on-site staff. We stayed in a twin room on the ground floor which didn't even have two pillows. Carpets were wet through. Smell was horrible. Other Travelodge I've stayed in have been fine but this...

Even for a Travelodge this was bad. Not dirty, just such a poor quality no expense spent facility, I won't even call it a hotel, motel or accomodation place, it was a " facility". With the windows closed it still sounded like I was sleeping on the A27. The facility only has one iron apparently "and that was with someone...

I stayed in Room 39, for 2 nights, with my 7year old, whilst visiting family. It was a surprisingly dismal and unpleasant stay, so much so that my Husband(who was at home) was keen to book us into an alternative hotel for the 2nd night! Amongst other complaints, I found the room to be generally shabby, with grubby fixtures and...

Stayed here for 2 nights May 2011. Hotel is clean and staff friendly and helpful. Major problem was the beds - the most uncomfortable I have ever experienced (too soft)! Reported problem to reception but nothing they could do (hotel was full). Suggested making up sofa bed which was better but mattress was filthy. I reported this and they said...
