I stayed here with my wife and daughters and could only agree with the last reviewer. A very underwhelming experience and definitely trading on former glories. I have visited periodically for lunch over 25 years and they simply haven't moved on. This is the first time we have stayed, although my brother had good memories of his stays from the... More

Had dinner here recently , whilst in past I complained about service , this time it was all excellent , and timely , the only fault was the price ! £161 for two pre dinner drinks and a set price 3 course dinner with half bottle of red and two bottles of water , coffee and petite fours for two... Had a great stay. Staff were very welcoming and efficient. Refreshing to see so many younger people working there and how engaged they were in their work and with the guests. Food was delicious. Setting lovely. Room was too hot and the thermostat in the room had no effect. Handle fell off the shower. Front door to the annex we... More

Our third stay at Bailiffscourt,(although we have eaten there on several occasions). The standard was extremely high. I can't understand the previous reviewer's comments. We were helped with our bags on arrival and all the staff from porters to managers were most helpful, friendly and polite. Our room was excellent with a most comfortable mattress and pillows. Everything was very clean.The... More

We stayed in a lovely deluxe room in the main house, very old fashioned with wooden doors, open fireplace, leaded windows and a huge bed. However, strangely the wardrobe was situated in the bathroom, but thankfully our clothes did not get damp. Really enjoyed the spa facilities-the steam room, sauna, indoor pool and hot tub were fantastic just a shame there was not enough room around... More

We just spent two nights at Bailiffscourt. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiles to the moment we left. The service, rooms, food, wine were all 100%, I asked in advance for good service and that's what I got. It just could not have been better. Sincere thanks to all the staff for making this special... The hotel is laid out in a series of converted (or new and made to look converted) farm-style outbuildings, which makes for a nice atmosphere of being in a littl village, rather than a big hotel. It makes for a sense of privacy in sizeable grounds and a very close beach, too. The hotel itself was on the old-fashioned end... More

A short note to say a big thank you to everyone for helping to make our family celebration weekend perfect. This is the second year that we have had a family celebration at Bailiffscourt in January. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home and you were able to accommodate all of our needs. With a... More

OK - this place is not cheap. I spent for 1 night and only 2 treatments, over £500. But both my girlfriend and I like nice wine and I am not going to spend over £200 on a room for a night and not splurge elsewhere. But from arrival (2.30pm Saturday) until departure (11.30am Sunday), there was not a moment... More

I love Christmas and won't go away, so as a sop to my Wife we booked up new years eve & day at Bailffscourt. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming, even though they were 100% fully booked. After settling into the room, we got dressed up (black tie was preffered but not compulsory, about 80% were in Black ties... More
