Travellers' Choice
An 18 bedroom !6Th century family run hotel , it has been owned and run by the Honour family for 40 years. We specialise in making every ones visit to us as comfortable as possible. We are nestled in the beautiful West Sussex countryside and very close to the beach. We have a very cosy bar where we serve fine wines and an impresive selection of ales and home cooked bar food. Our restaurant has table d'hote and a la carte menus proving local line caught fish and delicious home cooked food.

We had the Sunday roast takeaway on 3rd January, enjoyed it so much that we are having it again this weekend. The take away fish and chip and paella are superb too. As always I can highly recommended the Inglenook. Simon and Sara-Jane Gilbert

My wife & I have eaten here numerous times now as I don’t believe you can get better food in the area. Such a great price for the best quality. The owners & staff couldn’t be anymore welcoming/friendly. Tony & Sarah always make a point of talking to you when you come in. Beckie from behind the bar always has a smile on her face and so attentive. Will continue to come here for food. They have made it very safe so we have no worries whether it’s Covid secure

Tony looked after us so well today. First opportunity to meet with friends outside, and we all enjoyed a superb ‘substantial’ meal and drinks in the outside eating area and received the warmest welcome we could wish for. We love our local xx

Agree with a recent post of this hotel. Fairly limited menu, but both dinners & breakfasts thoroughly enjoyed by all the family, would recommend. Bedrooms a bit disappointing however. First night at the front suffered badly from road noise, bathroom small & 'tired'. Second night moved to the back ,much quieter, but my mattress was very very soft. Both rooms were clean & warm.We found some staff a bit 'jumpy' with people moving necessarily around the hotel even with masks on, though they were polite.

Response from Sarah Honour, General Manager at The Inglenook Hotel & Restaurant

Thank you for taking the time to review us at The Inglenook , Pagham . I do hope that our staff explained that we are running a smaller menu at the moment due to covid restrictions on staff numbers . We are very much looking forward to offering a much wider menu when some kind of normality is resumed . We are a family run hotel and have an ongoing refurbishing programme , we have in fact just completed a full upgrade in Room 1 , one of our older rooms . We have installed secondary glazing to our front rooms , due to being a listed building we have many restrictions imposed upon us . This will help with the sound of cars driving in and out of our village . May we take this opportunity to wish you all the best for the festive season .
