Roaming Oxfordshire on a week work visit, my colleague and I stumbled upon this place when trying to get a closer view of the MOD nukes. Razor wire was a deterrent , and the effort made us hungry. I regularly eat local food when I travel, however my German counterpart is a bit pickier. He suggested we eat here because...

We went there with a largish party of 35 of us for a Sunday evening dinner which was excellent. The menu was pre-chosen but the quality and service was superb. The main course was a carvery with scalding hot plates and lashings of vegetables to go with the delicious meats. The very attentive staff couldn't have done more for us...

1 night stopover before spending the day on the canal - easy booking over the phone - friendly welcome, comfortable well furnished room but could do with thicker curtains. Good traditional pub grub. The name should have warned me that the trains start early in the morning!

Fantastic food great potions fantastic service. We took our grandchildren out for the day they loved the train going round and enjoyed their time on the swing and slide set. The staff are really friendly and we will visit again. The Sunday carvery was beautifully cooked and the vegetables were full of flavour. Highly recommended

A sizeable group of us booked to go for a meal. We were sent the menu and chose our meal beforehand. Everything ran smoothly. The meal - I had 'Hunter's Chicken' - was delicious. I would recommend this dish.
