We visited Brownsover Hall in mid January for Sunday lunch with about 40 other family members to celebrate a christening. Despite the size of the party each of the three courses was served timely and the food was both hot and tasty. The staff were also helpful and attentive throughout. All in all it turned out to be a great...

We actually visited this hotel before booking and were quite impressed both with the setting and the actual bedroom which we were shown. Being told that this room was not yet booked we immediately said "It is now". We went back to reception and paid the full amount and went away quite happy. When we arrived we were given the...

Two colleagues and I stayed in this hotel last night and found the experience less than favourable. Our rooms were cold and dated, but reasonably comfortable. Dinner was quite haphazard from a staff service perspective: food choices unavailable, requests for drinks and condiments took an unreasonable time to arrive, the bill had an extra bottle of wine on it which...

Husband and I stayed here for New Years Eve. Arrived just after 2:30pm and checked in without any problems. Our room (33) was in the stables, which is a very short walk from the main hotel. Room was absolutely amazing, beautifully decorated and a huge 4 poster bed. There was a bit of a smell coming from the toilet when...

We had a lovely few days staying at this hotel in between Christmas and New Year . Nothing too much to moan about, Staff all polite and helpful , building very atmospheric especially with Christmas decorations , breakfasts were good . Nice grounds and walks surround the building . The windows did get a little drafty in the rooms in...

We booked this at short notice but we were allocated a room on ground floor due to wife,s disability. room was lovely& quiet but a little tired. Food was acceptable (neither of us like al-dante vegetables) but this seems to be the normal nowadays, service could be a bit slow and the hot buffet/breakfast was only warm and cold plates...

I rather nervously booked in for the two night Xmas package here as I would be on my own. Having had an operation I couldn't travel far or do much, so this was an ideal location only 5 miles from my home. My need for a ground floor room was accommodated at short notice and was in the Coach House...

The service in this hotel is terrible! Everything on the buffet breakfast was cold, even when people complained the staff didn't do anything, the receptionist was just not interested in giving a service of any kind and was not interested in the experience of the customer at all. The rooms were ok apart from the stains on the carpet. Don't...

We just spent one night at the Brownsover Hall Hotel, and were very pleased with our stay. Just the architecture of the hotel was enough to entice us to book, even if only for a short visit. We arrived late -and hungry- just when the restaurant was closing, but they directed us to the bar were our thirst and hunger...
