Owner friendly and welcoming. Room was clean. No sink in room. Clean shared toilet and shower room. Lots of animals - dog (Toby; friendly), cat, parrot & other caged birds (not kept in guest space), tortoise (again not in guest space), tank of big bugs. Stayed in the Blue Room.

I usually stay in a premier inn but decided to opt for a more homely option, sadly this was a mistake. On arrival I parked my car and found myself in what looked like a very messy garden, with pots and bags of compost lying around. I was instructed to remove my shoes immediately on stepping through the front door...

Stayed for one night midway through a 2 day cycle ride. Was happy to find out the owner is a vegetarian so we got an excellent breakfast, including fresh eggs from the chickens. Room was small but comfortable & the toilet & bathroom were perfect. Loved the various animals & the tree carvings outside as well.

I booked via hotels.com and they emailed to say the room was cancelled. No offer to arrange a refund, just said contact hotels.com!! The reason given was it was on multiple booking sites and it had been double booked.

The manager had the audacity to complain to me for ordering take outs, late at night, because she would not let us warm food up in the kitchen, useless and rude, their are also signs posted up everywhere, reminding everyone to keep quite, its like being back at school. To their credit, rooms were clean, although I wouldn't expect anything...

Booked this wonderful B&B while visiting darts championship tournament at the Lakeside! Wonderful place! What we wanted was a good sleep and good breakfast and this exactly what we got, in a clean, tidy and friendly place, with a home made full English, to send us on our long journey home! Will see you again, Heatherbank B&B!!!! Dave and Kristīne

Lovely accommodation with good size rooms and brilliant value for money. I have stayed here for about a month due to working in a gym in the area and I have been made so welcome by Mary ! She has really been like a mam and always goes the extra mile to take care of me - even being the...

Made to feel very welcome by Mary, John & Henry. Very interesting large Edwardian house, very clean spacious rooms and excellent breakfast. Saw some negative reviews on this site but can only assume the reviewers stayed somewhere else as our stay was perfect and we would certainly return.

“Have a word with the people running it and tell what you need beforehand. We requested a big room for our two travel cots and that was no issue at all. The bathroom even had some little rubber ducks for our children to play with!”
