ayed here one Friday night after a long day at Alton towers dropped our bags off in the morning ensuring they’d be in our room on arrival. Arrived at the hotel and shown to room 21. No bag! After walking down 3 flights off stairs! We got our bag. I wouldn’t pick this hotel if your disabled or have any type of mobility issues. We arrived at the room and rested our legs, room appeared clean and basic! Not the luxury we had booked as stated on their website. . We have booked a 20.00 reservation for dinner. We arrived and was shown a table and we quickly realised we was having dinner in the middle of drunken teenagers! We order two chicken skewers one was nice the other very bland and after asking for the right sauce twice I settled on the wrong sauce! Then came dessert again the one we ordered isn’t the one that arrived. Bouncer really good of enforcing drunken people to wear masks as they are walking around without it. As we was having desserts a good girl stated an argument with a group of boys! Not very classy! It then hit 22:00 and we was going up to our room the music was off but there were still plenty of people in the bar still drinking! We went up to the room and then realised there was no water or milk in the room as stated on facilities. We then went to sleep poor quality duvet and pillows! On awaking we realised we didn’t have a hairdryer or iron board but an iron as well no toiletries as well stated on there website aswell as robes I understand for the price if it was ‘budget’ but don’t advertise ‘luxury’. We went to find someone in the morning and no one was around! Everything in the room just didn’t look finished! On checking out the cleaner of the bar just told us to leave the key as we couldn’t express our displeasure. Overall I wouldn’t return! There were a couple of staff that were friendly and helpful. …
Well, I think I've eaten Sunday Lunch all over the Midlands. This one is up there with the best. Big portions too. A choice of 5 different meats or Veggie option. 8 different Veggies bought to your table in dishes. Yorkshire puds & stuffing with everything. Roast Parsnips & Roast Potatoes. Extra gravy. And the White Hart is uniquely decorated. Staff wonderful too. Well done to the Manager, Chefs & Staff. Throughly enjoyable.
We booked this to extend a day trip to Alton Towers Oktoberfest. The Rooms are spotless and seam to be relatively newly refurbished. Nice touch with USB charging ports by the bed side tables. The Restaurant and bar is lovely and the food - Skewers were great. The choice isnt great but we found something even for my wife who is reasonably fussy. Only issue to note was the noise outside out bedroom window (Overlooking the side entrance) that from about 11pm til 1am was very excessive.
We stayed here as we headed back from the Lake District for a trip to Alton Towers. It was perfect for this as its only 20 mins away, and there is ample parking! The rooms are comfortable, modern, clean and the showers are fantastic (we had a rainfall shower in our room). The staff are superb, accommodating and friendly. We felt very at home and they couldn't of done more for us. The food is incredibly tasty and the unique selling point of skewers and plenty of sides to go with these means there is something for everybody. The portions are generous and the deserts are highly recommended! We would definitely stay here again, and recommend to others.
The owner accommodates to every individual’s needs, absolutely lovely, will be attending every event from not on! Couldn’t recommend more! Hotel is lovely and the bar is so lovely, amazing food and amazing drinks
