I was booked here for two nights but it was so bad I checked out after one. It is dirty and very run down. My room had no hot water and the staff were simply not bothered, though to be honest the bathroom was so mouldy and the lino flooring so sticky I wanted to dpend as little time in...

Myself and my family stayed this weekend at the crown hotel stone. Upon arrival the check in process is very long winded. However once we had gone through the long check in we went to our rooms although they are very dated they are pleasant and clean. The young man on the bar served us was extremely well mannered and...

Booked here as were meeting friends to go to bike show but never again! Bed was like sleeping on a board, holey bed linen, and room needed a good Hoover. Room was sweltering even with window wide open as heating full on during night, large gap under door which allowed blazing light from hall to flood in so we bundled...

We just popped in for coffee today- not impressed. The front of the building is covered in scaffolding and has been for months with nothing happening. We went inside to find no one serving in the bar or anywhere to be found. Ceiling paper peeling in the main coffee area. Only one other customer to be seen. On the plus...

Centrally located and has a car park but otherwise grim. Staff disinterested when you try to check in, and just give you a wage direction to the rooms. Rooms look like a poor quality prefab. Carpets heavily stained and covered in debris. Shower room needs a good clean. Shower is a dribble of look warm water. No soap of shampoo....

I reserved a room this hotel, The cancelled my booking without letting me know. When I called the reception staff were extremely rude, I was told I don't know about: 'thingy booking'. I booked this room through booking.com, If I had not phoned the hotel to check on my booking I would have had nowhere to sleep over Easter weekend...

Arrived at 1pm waited 5 minutes and no staff to be seen. Looked in in bar... still no one. Finally a lady appeared and grumpily told us check in isn't till 2pm. Not an auspicious first impression.. will do another post when we try again later and spend the night.

A very tired hotel, basic rooms are basic prices, but woe betide you needing to stay when those are sold out, as the 'superior' and 'suite' rooms are over-priced and not worth any more at all. Dirty, worn and outdated furniture meets decor best suited to Fawlty Towers, Sorry if it wasn't the only hotel in Stone it would have...
