Stayed for 3 nights for work. Great friendly staff always cheerful. Due to covid didn’t use any facilities. Had a pizza one night which was fab. Rooms are lovely. Stayed in a garden room which was nice and would be lovely in summer
We stayed at the Stone House Hotel for Xmas and had a great experience, everywhere was covid safe and clean. We had chocolates and Xmas crackers in our room which was a nice touch. The room was lovely and big with a nice rainfall shower over bath. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, we will stay again and will recommend to others. We used the hot tub and pool which was a treat over Xmas. Thanks to all there at Stone House for a fabulous stay.
Very relaxing stay . I was on a business trip and stayed here. Good location, plenty and free car park, nice sized bedrooms and comfy beds. Bathrooms were clean and modern. They recently opened an Indian restaurant however it was not available due to Covid 19 restrictions so i had to settle for room service. I would like to say that the food was excellent and exceeded my expectations. I would like to suggest that if you are staying here then do try their Saffron restaurant Very good Indian selection. Staff is very helpful and courteous . I recommend this hotel to you if you happen to visit Stone/Stafford.
Stayed here for 2 nights and I would not recommend. We went into the jacuzzi as the swimming pool was closed due to it being broke. The full area from the changing rooms to the pool area was awful, looked very unclean and needed ripping out and starting again. That done we went into our room to find the radiator broke so they had put 2 heaters in the room which looked awful but did the job. The TV was the size of a laptop so was hard to see from the bed, the aerial hardly worked so we couldn't watch anything anyways. There was something splashed up the bathroom door and the room looked like it hadn't been cleaned. The bathroom was always freezing, the window must not have been sealed. The noise that you could hear from both outside and inside the hotel was ridiculous, kept us both up at night, the walls must have been paper thin. Our final morning we were woken up by a knock at the door at 9am (not early but we were having a sleep in due to a very busy week) and it was 2 people coming to fix the radiator. I didn't understand this as we had to leave the room 2 hours later so why didn't they arrange it to be fixed when noone was in the room. On the plus side, the food and bar area was lovely and room service was great. Staff were also very friendly and made the stay a little bit better. I would not stay here again. Wish I had taken photos.…
Stayed for one night while driving down from Glasgow to Newquay. Not easy to find it. However, once I spotted the entrance, it felt as if I was driving into a country lane. Plenty of parking. Quick check in. Staff were aware of Covid rules. A tiny but lovely swim pool to refresh from a long drive. The room was a Classic Double. Small but adequate. Quite clean. The dining room was bright with a cozy fire. The salmon was well made. Due to Covid rules, breakfast was served & filling. The staff were lovely. The hotel has an d world charm yo it.
