Chap behind bar was very friendly, welcoming and hard working. Probably the manager. Was juggling a lot of balls competently. A couple of the waitresses couldn't quite handle the pressure of service and maintain humour and a smile. Still. Good food.

Went for a special evening , so picked a special place. Menu is always good but the specials board make it a bit extra , never knowing what is on. I chose the Sea Bass , so moist and flavoursome my wife chose the Lamb rump, pink and perfect . Absolutely lovely evening with fantastic food and great staff

Lunch time for our first visit with the set menu, excellent food, value and choice . It was recommended to me so we made the 19 mile journey and will certainly do it again. Cleanliness is always a top priority and I would give it top marks all round.

My cousin booked me for two nights at Dun Cow Inn and was it ever a good decision! Located near some sights she wanted me to see, the price was very reasonable and the breakfast served each day was a delightful treat. Cooked by a young lady who worked for the Inn, it was tasty, prepared to perfection and fresh...

In the village of Colton near Rugeley, this Inn is well worth seeking out. It has nice roomy accommodation and serves excellently cooked food. Georgina is a lovely host and on the Thursday we stayed, there was about 50 people in the restaurant. You can not get a better recommendation than that. The wine list is sensible and the beer...

Meeting here with colleagues is always a pleasure. The staff are friendly, drinks well priced and the beers very well looked after. The food is just amazing and not expensive, well worth the money. The Chef obviously takes a lot of pride in his cooking and it really does show. Highly recommended.
