Expecting a quiet weekend we were a little shocked at the attitude of some of the wedding guests that were staying that weekend, allowing kids to run riot down corridors, fire escapes and stairs. Saying that some of the adults were acting worse than the kids. Seeing we were not part of the wedding parties, we were asked and gratefully...

This is an amazing place with beautiful gardens and very comfortable rooms but on this occasion our stay was tainted by a complete lack of organisation. Our friends celebration was planned by them in detail in discussion with the hotel. The meals were preordered and guests were to be given a choice of wine from a selected list of red...

The staff were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble for them and there willingness to attend to the needs of the guests was noted and really appreciated. Two night wedding anniversary celebration stay. Nice experience, room spacious and with the most comfortable bed. Breakfast was good and served on a hot plate (so important for breakfast). Staff very attentive, wife wanted more tea and milk delivered in minutes.Very quiet with some grand architecture. Would recommend it to anyone and will certainly com again.

We arrived at 5pm after a spontaneous booking for New Years Eve. Despite there being an event on at the hotel which we were unaware of, the staff were extremely helpful and attentive to us. We had booked our stay through a late-booking website in which we paid for a double room and dinner. Despite having to cater for a...

Average hotel with really good staff who go out of their way to make you welcome. Rooms clean but dated. Visit ruined by the failure of the hot water system so cold shower this morning. Breakfast was good with fresh cooked ingredients. The hotel is good value at 70 pounds but would feel expensive at 80.

On arriving at the Newton Park Hotel for Christmas Day lunch first impressions were very good.
