We stayed here after attending a wedding a couple of miles away and just found the hotel online. It really is a gorgeous place and we left wishing we had stayed longer! The room we had (room 3) was well equipped, large and comfortable. The bathroom was huge, and there were lovely views from our window. Our room was spotlessly...

We are a family of 5 and a little dog and were staying in a lodge on Rudyard lake. The owner of the lodge had recommended the hotel but we only visited the day we were leaving. Wish we had visited here earlier in our stay. What a lovely place. The lady and gent who seemed to be management were...

Stayed here while working in the local area. I would recommend this hotel. Nice location, good parking and the staff are great. The room was plenty big enough for me with a large bathroom. Slightly weird nautical theme to the room (paddle screwed to the wall, sailing boats and even bunting!!) The carvery was ok, not the best but good...

We stopped here for lunch after walking around the lake. We all had the club sandwich which came with chips and salad. Service was good and the food was hot and tasty, very good bacon. Had drinks from the bar, very pleasant place.

I visited the carvery about three to four years ago an was not very impressed. I went for lunch on Monday and apart from the smell of paint being stripped off the front door with a blow torch everything had improved as there are new owners. The surroundings have improved a lot and the food has improved tremendously .Previously, the veg...

We booked this hotel primarily because of its location - one of us had a business meeting to attend in Leek, & the other thought a walk around the lake whilst this was going on would be good. On that level it delivered, but pretty much everything else was a miserable failure. It looked OK on the website, the price...
