We went out for a few beers with our 2 young kids who were made very welcome, fab beer garden. Great service and great choice of beverages and snacks. A lovely log fire inside for the colder evenings. A great local for families. A traditional pub

Having been run reasonably well, the Kings arms now has new owners and things are set to improve well. Slowly but surely the restaurant and bar areas are being revamped and the locals are coming back. A lovely pub where you can socialise or chill out without the noise and interference you can get fom the other public houses and...

If you want well priced excellent food and drink, with friendly staff, then this is the place for you. Unbelievable food at almost half the price you would expect from a restaurant less than 100 metres away - This is not the usual fried in a basket, served to look better food. Restaurant standard at pub prices Well done to...

Phoned the day before expecting it to be fully booked on the Sunday before Christmas but they found room for us and when we arrived it was a table right beside an open fire. The service was very friendly and efficient throughout our stay. The carvery offered a wide range of meats and vegetables and was very tasty and reasonably...

The external appearance of this pub is dowdy.Peeling paint, dead flower baskets etc but once inside ,it is a great experience.Good beer,Terrific food and attentive staff.Abbi looked after us brilliantly and Mike the boss was a delight.Seems the brewery won't spend on a much needed refurb which is sad as we had a great night.Toilets like something out of a Charles...

Quality would far surpass anywhere locally and the quantity, unlike most meals of this standard, is almost unmanageable, where to compensate for quality; you are fed puny portions. Amazing home cooked food at fantastic prices. I don't know how they do it - Genuinely A La Carte dining standards in the food itself - at a fraction of the price....
