From the outside it looks a bit tired but I try not to judge a book by the cover! Mmmm.....the carpark is around the back and is not sign posted. I went in the back door and walked through the bar. Suits of armour were in the dining room and odd and sods of medieval accessories were on the walls....

The staff are very welcoming and polite. The food is very good with a great choice of meats and vegetables. We go most Sundays and are never disappointed. The price of a carvery is just £6.95 which is very competitive these days.

Stayed just one night over weekend, nice clean hotel, room big enough for 3, 2 adult s and 1 child and in a very central location. Reasonable prices in bar for both drink's and food. All in all good choice

Stayed at the grail hotel whilst working in button. Only stayed the one night. Rooms are nicely decorated and beds were comfortable. The man who works there seemed to be run of his feet. He deserves a lot of credit for the amount of work he does from morning till night. A downside was the macerator was very noisy weather...

Stay here a couple of years ago now the room I was in has been massively improved especially the bathroom. The décor downstairs is still the same which I love. Breakfast is freshly cooked and was very good. The only down side is that as its situated on a crossroads the traffic noise is an issue quite early but this...

A basic but very nice hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Ran out of milk in my room, a member of staff couldn't find any but brought me a small jug of fresh milk. Good value food in the bar downstairs. Suites of armour dotted around which give it a certain appeal. Enjoyed my stay here.

I stayed here recently while out for the weekend with friends, the hotel was lovely and clean and very inviting and friendly. Staff were all very polite and helpful. The room was a double en-suite, very spacious and clean, well equipped for a few nights stay, comfortable bed and not to warm or to cold like some hotels I've stayed...

This hotel has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We arrived at 2pm to find a locked hotel. The telephone number on the door for check ins remained unanswered for 20 minutes of continuous ringing. Suddenly two chaps appeared through the lobby glass, thinking them guests by their casual attire we explained the situation to them. Without acknowledgement...

Not a place I would recommend in fact if we had not been so tired from travelling would not have stayed one night! The bed was awful and I did not feel clean whilst I was there. I looked at the reviews before we went and they were not too bad but within the month which included our visit they...
