Stayed here with a group of friends for a hen do weekend visiting Alton Towers. We had cottages 2 and 3; both were clean and had everything we need, however they are rather dated. For some bizarre reason the heating was on in both cottages - despite it being 24 degrees! We had had a full day at Alton towers... More

Have stayed here numerous times through the years, back to when it was the Alverton, but now the land the old accommodation used to occupy has been sold off and turned in to a rather nice housing estate. The owners now only have 3 or 4 two bedroom "houses" left as the B&B. We had a lovely warm welcome and... More

Stayed 1 night here in cottage 3, nicely decorated with kitchen and lounge, shower room, toilet, two bedrooms, each with double bed and single bed. Cot was supplied and set up for us, kids slept all night thanks to blackout blind on velux window... masses of food for breakfast, we didn't need to have rip off lunch at alton towers.... More

I stated here with my daughter on the 4th and 5th of July. I was impressed with the customer service both on the phone and in person. The owners are lovely and make you feel extremely comfortable. The cottage was lovely. It was cosy with the all the amenities you need for a weekend away. The microwave and toaster was... More

We stayed here having booked 2 cottages for a weekend at Alton Towers. As a party of 10 we found the accommodation suitable for large families. Having read a few negative reviews we were a bit apprehensive, but on arrival pleasantly surprised. Plenty of space and everything we needed in the kitchen. The 2 bedrooms could comfortable sleep at least... More

Yet another great visit to The Weeping Ash (formerly Alverton Motel). This time my group had two of the selection of cottages. It should be noted that it appears the owners have sold off some of the land so it's a bit of a building site - but this did not affect our trip or enjoyment in the slightest. Both... More

Lovely friendly welcome for our late night arrival. There were 9 of us staying in two cottages aged from 3yrs to 37yrs. Everyone was happy, slept well and enjoyed our two night stay. It was perfect for young ones as we had more space and freedom than you would get from any other B&B. Ideal location for a visit to... More

Stayed here a couple of weeks back and I must say I was very impressed. There was 3 adults and one child in our party, we were welcomed by a lovely lady who the showed us round the cottage we would be staying in. Stayed here for the 3rd time. We had a lovely little cottage , up and down stairs, very clean and tidy! Got a lovely welcome from the owner who showed us around the cottage. Our kitchen was filled with breakfast goods and so was the fridge. The down side was the noise of the workers working at the worksite right... More
