We spent a weekend at Donifrd Bay.
The weather wasn't too good but the stay was so relaxing. The cold morning walks along the beach with the pooch was amazing. Seeing the sunrise and sunset.
We visited Lynton & Lynmouth and drove the famous Porlock Hill.
A must for any dog lover.
Thank Michael S

Hi There Michael, Thank you so much for your 5* review! It's so nice to see that despite the horrid weather you still made the most out of your holiday. We are set in such a perfect spot of somerset, great for exploring the area, which is indeed incredibly Dog Friendly! The sunsets are also something else! Thanks once again for taking the time to tell us and others how you and your family not forgetting pooch had such a great holiday! We hope to welcome you back again in the new year! Kind Regards, Gabrielle Roberts Guest Relations

Had a lovely stay at this caravan site. Very clean and lovely situated caravan. Exceptionally helpful staff. Would highly recommend. Watchet village was very pleasant with a quirky little pub with nice staff and welcoming atmosphere. The Abbey is very nice to visit. Didn't use the club house. The fish and chips are lovely but expensive.. Care on the roads especially with the sun in your eyes. Would stay again. Definately

Stayed here last weekend, it was the first time we had been back since 2013 when we enjoyed it
Caravan was lovely had central heating throughout. only problem was it was set at a set temperature which just simply is not high enough for the current cold weather.
Activities were ok but all have to be booked even the free ones which is a pain as you can only book them by going to pool reception which isnt always open. The climbing activities are fab but £10 for half an hour is rediculous.
The evening entertainment was a bit too late for little kids as it didnt start until 7.30, until then it's only bingo. Was very disappointed that on a Halloween weekend there was no Halloween activities only a 10 minute parade. I have been to Parkdean Resorts in the past which are a lot better with evening entertainment.
The chip shop is expensive and always has a massive queue. We ate in the restaurant twice and each time the food was not very good and very expensive for what you get. Also had items missing each time.
I did not find the staff very informative and friendly. we were given wrong information twice by reception and the bar staff are very grumpy and unhelpful. Again I have never had this issue at parkdean resorts. The exception was the rangers who do the outdoor activities, they were friendly.
The swimming pool is freezing cold and always overcrowded, lifeguards just stood and chatted the whole time we were in there.
There is a outdoor climbing area but it was closed for refurbishment, not sure why this could not have been done out of season?
I would not return to this park, it has put me off Haven to be honest

Hi there, Thanks for you review. I am really surprised and disappointed to read the title of your review. I am sorry that your heating wasn't warm enough for you, if you had mentioned this to reception we could of had this rectified for you. We understand that the evening entertainment is a crucial part of the Haven Holiday experience. Our fun stars work hard to entertain all of the guests staying on the park and in the main they succeed, as the feedback we receive is positive. However as there is a wide range of ages and tastes to cater for and it is not always possible to offer entertainment that will please everyone. In general, we have a formula for entertaining the children and adults of our family groups and this is successful at most of our parks. I am sorry to see that you didn't find the staff very helpful or informative, i am intrigued to know what wrong information was given on reception. As a legal requirement the swimming pool temperature has an to be a minimum of 27 degrees to open, here at Doniford we have our pool temperature at 31 degrees for extra comfort. The outdoor climbing area has been shut by our head office for safety reasons. I would like to thank you for your feedback although I am sorry to hear you wouldn't return to us. I am sure that any future visits will restore your faith with Haven Holidays and you will have a fantastic stay. Kind Regards, Gabrielle Roberts Guest Relations
