Came here for a meal as staying in the area one night but hadn't booked a reservation anywhere, they kindly let us have a table without a reservation. Very friendly and welcoming staff, excellent food, good value and very filling meals. Lovely glass of merlot too. 100"% reccomend this place.

Upon arrival the staff were welcoming, helpful and very efficient checking. The rooms was comfortable, clean and spacious. Dinner menu was the normal pub food, however the quality was good. Breakfast was included and again of good standard. The only thing that was wrong was that the TV/Wifi signal was limiting. Would 100% recommend The castle.

We decided to pop in for G& Ts but decided to stay a little longer. Staff were friendly and helpful - but busy in a safe environment. Everybody seemed very happy. We did not have a meal as we had already eaten, but the meal order were coming thick & fast. Pleasant atmosphere. Traditional pub with accommodation.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was hot and delicious, set us up for the day, plus the sticky toffee pudding is amazing and huge, make sure you leave room!! Whilst there is not a great deal to do in the village, I would use this B&B again as a base to explore the area further.

Perfect stay. The room was freshly refurbished and large. Dinner was superb, fish and chips & a home made curry. The Tribute was excellent, best I’ve had. That also could be that we walked 10 miles beforehand. Staff are friendly and efficient and the whole evening was great value.
