We stayed at Dolffanog Fach for 4 nights in late May. Liz and Simon were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was lovely and really set us up for long days hiking around Snowdonia. The locations is very beautiful and has a number of local walking trails to explore. Would recommend this B&B to anyone who is...

We stayed just the 1 night after climbing Cadair Idris with our dog. Can't rate the place highly enough. Simon and Liz were very welcoming and our room was perfect. Excellent tea/coffee making facilities in the room, fresh milk and cookies were appreciated and the little jar of dog biscuits were a lovely touch. Breakfast was wonderful, with a fantastic...

We stayed 2 nights in what the owners describe as the cosy room "Blyton". The room is a perfectly adequate size although the shower room is small but as long as you are an average size and you don't both want to be in it at the same time then it is fine. The shower has a really good pressure....

This B&B is a lovely place to stay. Liz and Simon are fantastic hosts, they truly look after their guests and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spotlessly clean and filled with little extras that make a stay special, for example freshly baked welsh cakes, cookies, jar of jelly beans. There is even a lavender and chamomile pillow...

This is a great little pet-friendly retreat for those lucky enough to have placid/well behaved dogs - unlike our own two unruly animals who ended up sleeping in the car to spare the other guests several sleepless nights! That aside, the owners are a marvellous couple who really went the extra mile to ensure their guests had an enjoyable stay,...

We stayed here for 3 nights with our dog Cid & we couldn't have been looked after any better. The location is stunning with amazing views and our room was very comfortable. Our breakfast was delicious & well cooked with a great range of different options & Liz went out of her way to fulfill a fellow guest's request for...

Dolffanog Fach is a lovely B&B, whose hosts (Simon and Liz) were extremely kind and welcoming. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The rooms were great and the bed was super comfy! We loved the Welsh cakes and cookies upon arrival (both restocked each day). The setting of the B&B is wonderful, with great views and within a short distance...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Simon and Liz would love to welcome you to Dolffanog Fach. Our aim is to provide the warm and friendly welcome of a traditional B&B with the standards and special touches you would expect from a boutique hotel. Unlike most B&Bs we do not "live in", we have a little cottage just next door so you don't need to feel as though you are staying in someone's home. We have 4 lovely double bedrooms, a sitting room with a log fire and a beautiful dining room with a slate floor and wood burning stove. Our dining room is big enough to accommodate individual tables for each guests but small enough to be cosy and allow you to chat to other guests if you wish. We have a large garden that you are welcome to explore - including a full vegetable garden! We also have a Finnish Sauna which is just perfect after a long day's hike or cycle in our astonishingly beautiful surroundings. If you are a walker or mountain biker then we can offer you our "Boots & Bikes" Room. Secure storage for your bikes, boots, helmets and clothes and we can also offer laundry facilities. Our breakfasts are designed to really set you up for the day and also offer plenty of variety if you are staying for more than a few days. You could stay for a week and have a different breakfast every day! We really want to offer our guests value for money and put a lot of effort into the little things, the biscuits in the rooms are homemade and freshly baked, the milk is fresh and the coffee is ground and there are lots of other little touches that guests always comment on and say how much they make a difference. Children of any age are more than welcome and we also welcome dogs and they are allowed in the rooms and sitting room, we don't permit them in the dining room but you are welcome to leave them in the bedrooms while you eat. We hope you'll come and stay with us, we can promise you a friendly welcome, lovely rooms, delicious food, glorious surroundings and a truly relaxing stay. ... more   less
