We booked here after reading the reviews of other guests and generally yes I agree it is a top class guest house in an outstanding location. On arrival we spent our first half an hour just gazing out of the window taking in the mountain, the variety of birds utilising the bird feeders and the lake in the background along...

Ouch that hurts! I’m glad you had a generally pleasant stay with us however I must respond to your niggles: The lock and key About 5 years ago a guest somehow managed to double lock the door from the inside and then slam the door shut, it could not be unlocked. I had to call out a locksmith and it...

We stayed with Alex and Lorraine for 4 (rather fab) nights and have hotly debated since leaving that Dolffanog Fawr is possibly the best B&B we have ever stayed. It really is a remarkable place for a number of reasons. Firstly your hosts - Alex and Lorraine are great and genuinely welcoming. Alex is so knowledgeable of the local area...

Beautiful views across fields to the lake. Great walks for all levels. Very comfortable beds and rooms with a big fluffy white duvet! Best of all was the warm welcome from Alex and Lorraine and the food was delicious. I would recommend having dinner every night of your visit if available - Lorraine's meals are 5*, 3 courses and you...

Nestled among the mountains and lakes is Dolffanog Fawr. We were greeted by our hosts Lorraine and Alex, who have created this wonderful b&b in Wales. There is so much to say about this gem. Alex and Lorraine are congenial, warm, and friendly hosts. The rooms are comfortable, super clean, and modern. We had views of the lake and hills...

My partner simply had a fantastic bank holiday weekend here. Alex and Lorraine really provide an excellent experience and balance each other perfectly. Meals are provided by Lorraine, with a full breakfast provided plus various cereals and jams, many of which are homemade. I would definitely recommend joining the evening meal at least once as the food was exceptional. My...

Just returned from a two night stay over the bank holiday weekend. Everything about the guest house is cosy, comfortable and friendly. The food is delicious. Very nice to eat around the dining table with the other guests, encourages everybody to get to know one another and adds to the experience. Our big dog was as welcome as we were....

We have just returned from this wonderful guest house tucked away by Tal-y-llyn. The accommodation was first class and sleep quality was fantastic - quiet and restful. The lounge was very comfortable with a large array of reading material - both local and national. The dining area was lovely - I particularly liked the set up - all eight dining...
