Recently stayed at Pen-y-Dyffryn for a weekend break. This was our first stay here and we found it excellent in all respects,(food, surroundings, hospitality) from the initial greeting right thru to our departure the staff were very pleasant and happy to assist with any queries and made you feel most welcome. Many thanks to all concerned. Based on our initial...

Pen y Dyffryn was the perfect spot for us to unwind for 3 days after a difficult family time. A small, comfortable and friendly hotel with a warm welcome, pleasant staff, and excellent food. Completely new menu each evening. A lovely rural location, well placed for touring Llangollen, South Snowdonia and several NT properties.

First class in every respect. Lovely room with a great view, fantastic food and really helpful and friendly staff - all the ingredients for a quality break. Lots of things to do in the area with plenty of guidance on where to go and what to see. Really can't speak highly enough of this gem of a hotel.

Fantastic scenery and setting. We stayed in a patio room; the views were amazing and the facilities were excellent. The staff were extremely helpful. The food was better than expected and the menu changed daily based on what ingredients were available locally. We both had a swedish massage in our room, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Will deffinitely go back soon.

Excellant food not too pretenious and served in a pleasent dining room. Friendly service from a family run hotel. With clear signs to make the guests stay welcome. We made Pen y Dyffryn the end to our self catering holiday with our family on the cardigan coast. This was 'our holiday' to us after doing all the catering. We arrived about 4.30pm, after calling at gigrin farm to see the red kites, so we were too late for our complimentary tea and scones. We were made very welcome...

Just had our 3rd stay in 10 years and we are always delighted with the friendly but professional service given. The P-y-D now is our benchmark as to what a good quite country hotel should be! - another bonus is we have never had to put up with any noisy kids there! LOL

Situated in a remote and beautiful setting this hotel has plenty of character. The owner and staff were both professional and friendly. We enjoyed our stay, our dining experience was excellent as was the breakfast.
