We always head for the Wynnstay when spending a day in Oswestry. It is a charming old hotel with comfortable areas to have morning coffee, lunch etc., and the bar staff are so friendly and helpful. The lunchtime bar food is excellent and it is so good to find such an oasis in a busy town.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed here recently, this time we stayed for 3 nights over a two week period. The location of this hotel is ideal and the staff are lovely. We stayed in a twin room, a different room on both visits. The first room has been updated, lovely shower, the second room is dated so I'm...

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. The hotel at present, is in the middle of a refurbishment program and as you commented some rooms are more up to date than others. Being a small hotel we can only do one room at a time but we do understand this can be frustrating to our guests. We...

Eating in the pavilion bar: really good service, and a menu which offers two courses for £10. Good choice on the menu, and the food was great too. Amazing value! Also some good cask beer to accompany the meal.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel and for your kind comments. We are constantly trying to change our menus and encourage value for money without losing our quality and choice of food. Once again many thanks and we do hope to welcome you back to our hotel in the future.

My friend and I booked this half price spa day and checked the availability of the facilities. On arrival we filled in the cards stating any illnesses and handed them to the receptionist. We were given dressing gowns, fip flops and towel. and shown around. We were then told that the sauna was out of action! there were workmen going...

Had the most wonderful time here with my daughter. From the moment we got to reception we were greeted with a smile. Our room was overlooking the bowls green, it was spotlessly clean with a generous selection of hot drinks and biscuits. We popped over to the spa for our treatments and instantly knew how organised the hotel was, robes,...

We found this a really nice place to stay, we were given a very spacious room with a smart modern bathroom and although at the front of the hotel is was very quiet until about 7am, when the town was starting to go about its business - which was not an issue. The staff are all very friendly and helpful....

We went to the Wynnstay in November for an early Christmas meal. The hotel was extremely busy when we arrived, but it didn't take long to get to the bar for pre-meal drinks. There were plenty of places to sit and chat before going through to the dining room. The meal is normally £40 per person, but because there were...
