We were lucky to get the last room, "The small double", small referring to the room, not the bed( We have stayed in smaller rooms.) Our bathroom door was at right angles to the bedroom door at the end of the corridor and both rooms were perfectly adequate, very comfortable and peacefully decorated. I loved all the stripped wooden doors...

Many thanks for your very comprehensive review. Very pleased everything worked out fine for you and how much you enjoyed Tricia's dinners. Your comments will make her day! Our small double room is usually our own guest room and although it fully meets Quality Grading we only occasionally let it out when circumstances allow. I agree it can get hot...

Lovely peaceful location with great access to local Shropshire delights. Self catering accommodation with all you could need. Birds and bats and pretty gardens. Much Wenlock markets and bakery and butcher all very high quality. George & Dragon provided lovely food and good service. Many thanks.

So pleased you enjoyed your stay. We are in a lovely part of the world, and living here we sometimes forget how peaceful it all is. Sorry we ourselves didn't see you but many thanks for your kind note and leaving the Coach House so tidy! Best wishes, Tricia & Anthony.

We were a party of two older couples. One took the very large twin room in the house (great beds, modern bath, unusual space in the room for luggage and sitting at a table in comfortable straight chairs -- much appreciated and unusual in B&Bs). The other had the carriage-house suite: after going up a few stairs, there was a...

Many thanks for all your kind words about us. We certainly do try hard to provide all that our guests expect and perhaps a little bit more. Glad to hear that everything worked out fine and that you all had a nice, quiet, relaxing time here with us in rural Shropshire in the midst of all your travelling around the...

Old Quarry Cottage is a real gem, the hosts thoughtfully providing absolutely everything needed for a perfect break in this beautiful part of Shropshire. Peaceful surroundings, very comfortable and spacious accomodation (we had Room 1), and excellent food - don't miss Tricia's delicious home-made ginger marmalade!

Our visit to Old Quarry Cottage was faultless. The house was superbly maintained and decorated. The room was well appointed and the breakfast was of a high standard and beautifully cooked. We paid a special winter rate of £55 but at the full rate of £70 it is still underpriced in our opinion. The only slight negative is that there...

Many thanks for your kind review - especially from a such a seasoned reviewer! Glad everything was fine for you, but sorry it was our fault that we must have forgotten to remind you to take a couple of small torches by the front door put there specially for when anyone walks down to the pub. However hope to see...

We have just returned from one nights stay at Old Quarry Cottage. From the minute we arrived Tricia and Anthony made us most welcome in their home. We stayed in room 1 which was decorated with Laura Ashley and very pretty. The room and ensuite were very clean with every need catered for, from a lovely matching china tea service...
