the staff are so kind, friendly and wanting to go the extra mile to help. would more than be happy to stay again. only down side is the room was a little too hot for my personal liking due to the use of storage heaters. I will be asking next time I stay if they could remember to turn the...

When we booked our "three nights for two with breakfast and two course evening meal," from Groupon, We understood this to mean that the meal was included on each night. We had booked a similar deal with Secret Escapes in London. When we were checking out, firstly, we had to clear up a discrepancy with the bill for the final...

We were given a lovely welcome from Simon who showed us to our room, explained the menu to us and times of breakfast and dinner. Our room was clean and a very good size, cant understand some complaints on here, we had a wet room and bath in the bathroom, was very spacious. Food was lovely and breakfast was good...

You cannot give two people a three course lovely evening meal, a bedroom for the night, breakfast in the morning and charge £59.00 including 20% VAT - trust me it's not impossible. That's why there's no money to maintain the place and boy would that cost a lot. However health and safety allow dogs in such places is beyond belief...

We found the hotel clean, extremely friendly staff, super food, and a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Open log fire in the bar, comfortable seating for after evening meal drinks. Highly recommended. Booked to go again later this year. We would also recommend that interested parties do not take any notice of the photos posted online. Everything has been sorted. Elaine &...

We stayed here for 2 nights on a Wowcer deal (£99 for 3 course meal on 1st nice with 2 breakfasts. We had a really lovely oak beamed room (no:10) and would recommend this if staying here. For the 3 course meal you could choose anything form their early bird menu (6-7:30) but if you wanted something from the main...

We visited in Jan 2015 and had a lovely time but we feel that the hotel is now very tired and needs investment in the bedrooms. The staff are hard working friendly and efficient and the quality of food is good. The bar has a log fire but unless you are lucky enough to sit by it you sit in...

Had three nights at the Crown with a 3 course dinner and a bottle of wine included in the deal. Struggled to find fault, staff were excellent, room was clean, fresh and roomy. Only criticism was no hot water when we arrived at six but I suppose that was because the other guests got there before us, receptionist apologised but...
