The things you need after a long day's walking are to relax in a long hot bath followed by a good night's sleep and this is what Quince Cottage offers. As the other reviews state tea and cake were there to welcome us followed by a lovely English breakfast the following morning. It was hard to leave my cosy room...

Although just a little way off the ridgeway, I was picked up by Louise and dropped off at the same place near the ridgeway so that I could continue my walk to Lulworth Cove (along the ridgeway and down White Horse Trail!). Also dropped me off at the Lamb for a very decent evening meal. Everything was comfortable and pleasant...

What a great B&B. So welcoming after a days walk on the Ridgeway. Cup of tea and cake awaits you an your arrival. The bedroom was comfy and quiet. Very clean & good to have a lovely hot bath. The pub in the village is presently shut but does not mention that on it's website so another guest & I...

We were hiking the Ridgeway and got to know Richard very well as he also was delivering our luggage from one B&B to the next. Both he and Louise were welcoming with conversation, great food and transportation to the next town for an evening meal at a place Richard recommended. The house was great. Would recommend it to anyone. Even...

My friend and I stayed here last weekend. We arrived tired and a bit dusty after a long day of walking the Ridgeway. We were immediately given tea and homemade cake which was just what was needed. The house and hosts were both delightful. We had a single room each and they were lovely with all the quirkiness you would...

the photo says it all, a very old house that is a great B&B in rural picture postcard English village. A family home, run to a professional level by the delightful Louise and Richard Boden. Lovely clean bedrooms, good mattresses and bed linen and plenty of hot water. Louise and Richard give the most warmest welcome and are the most...

Quince Cottage is one of our best memories of walking the Ridgeway. Richard and Louise welcomed us with real concern for our weary selves. The tea and cake, the kindness and the rides to town and back to the Ridgeway made this a memorable overnight stop. We had a charming room, a very good bed and an excellent breakfast. I...

My daughter and I arrived weary from a good walk from Goring. Greeted warmly with tea and home made cake -lovely. The cottage is beautiful; comfy beds; all you need; and super hospitality by Louise & Richard. Like others, delighted for the lift to Wantage in the evening and for dropping us off up the hill next morning. Our favourite...

Having walked all day we were badly in need of a cup of tea.... Which to our delight was promptly offered along with a slice of delicious chocolate cake upon arrival. This kind revitaliser topped by an immediate offer to drive us both back up the hill to the Ridgeway path after breakfast the following morning. And as the last...
