Full of character and olde world charm yet offers modern amenities. All our rooms are en-suite, and offer you a comfortable homely stay not a bland and clinical one. After a good nights sleep you will be treated to a lovely fresh home cooked Breakfast of your choice, before starting your busy day either working or sight seeing or travelling to your next destination. We have private parking on our property and accept dogs in our 2 ground floor rooms but we do have ground rules for any owners with dogs staying here at Brecks(please ring. We have enjoyed many a guest staying with us here at Brecks during the last 23 years and look forward to sharing our beautiful home with many more. I stayed for our anniversary weekend, and this enabled us to explore the countryside between Derby - Lincolnshire Wolds and the coast. We had a lovely visit with comfortable beds and a good breakfast to set us on our way each morning. The history of the cottage is also fascinating. Hosts were friendly, and we enjoyed a seat in the garden in the beautiful weather we had at the end of July. The hosts told us a couple of good pubs before our visit so that we could book them, and we were not disappointed! There are social distancing measures in place, so it was all very safe. It is also very quiet here.

We decided to book a stay with Brecks Cottage for a romantic weekend away and weren't disappointed. Sue made us feel very welcome. You can tell a lot of time and effort has gone into the new patio area and thankfully the weather was nice enough to be able to enjoy it. The beds were really comfortable, and the breakfast was amazing. Highly recommended!

Lovely area, comfortable room (I stayed in the Stable), Sue the owner is very warm , welcoming, hospitable, chatty, and friendly. The breakfast is just right the amount. I’m using the place as an overnight stop for work once a month or so and shall continue to do so for the foreseeable. Any runners out there, there is a 6 mile loop taking in the neighbouring villages.

The cottage is in a quiet rural setting but easy to locate with sat nav and or web site directions. We were accommodated in the "stables" block which gave us our own front door. This was ideal as our three dogs were made to feel very welcome. The welcome we received was warm and friendly and the workings of the facilities were explained to us. Breakfast requirements were discussed upon arrival and a time slot agreed for the next morning; this ensures food is cooked fresh and arrives hot. It was an extensive menu selection and nothing seems to be too much trouble. We stayed two nights and look forward to returning to the area, soon.
